Hello CCP & Forum Readers,
I recently made a video about a XML modification that changes the colors of your Overview tabs and inspace ship/player information.

I have received a lot of feedback about the modification and there are tons of people who want this as a standard feature. The XML modification has a few downsides and some hick ups here and there when it comes to viewing player information in space when they are stacked together, in a blob or at Jita undock, so if CCP would tweak it so that this would be possible as a real ingame feature, I think that will make a lot of people very happy.
Since we have been waiting years for a real UI overhaul, this XML file modification is the next best thing.
Feel free to share your thoughts on this.

That's definitely something I'd like to see improved.
I also use a custom overview and it is so much better, more accessible and readable with a little bit of color in the tabs and more importantly in space on highlighted and targeted objects. |

I don't comment here much, but I saw your video and came for your XML. You should think about pasting the XML here http://pastebin.com/, that way everyone who needs it can see it. :) |

Small update, a fellow Eve pilot was kind enough to upload my Overview File to his server and make it available for download.
You can download the file directly from the following address:
http://djf-ev.de/files/temp/General%20Overview%20Settings.rar
The file contains the Inspace color information just like in my video.
To get the colored Overview tabs you will have to goto: http://forum.eveuniversity.org/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=74499
The Eve Online Forums wont allow me to post the code, so I would like to redirect you to the E-UNI forums, where I posted the color codes. |
