Are we meant to sit tight until devs solve the loggin problems or do we petition it.
There isn't really a clear information line on what we are supposed to do here, but the idea of spending the day watching black screen "charector selection" kinda annoys me...
Honest question try to only flame me to medium rare.

I am having the same problem with my character stationed in Perimeter. Probably affected by Jita. Should have gone farther away next time.

I cleared out the Cache map/folder I didnt eraser the map Settings
that sorted it

Same here, new #2 alt logs into Amarr no problem, but the main char gets stuck, he's logging into space, its funny the hotfix to fix the lag screwed it up, then the next hotfix worked, then they hotfixed again, and now 12 hours later having the same problem as pre hot fix.

Yeah I was doing fine outside of a station, but I dock with an outpost and now my main cant log on.
Sheesh it keeps getting better and better doesnt it?

Both characters in niyabainen stuck, 3rd char out in the middle of nowhere logs in fine.
Just pretend the servers are down atm, and log in after DT.
Don't try to complain to much tho, theres plenty of Fanbois on atm to tell you nothings wrong, and you should be gratefull to be subscibing to (but not actually able to play) the best game in the galaxy etc etc. |

Do you think the devs are sitting at a island somewhere, drinking gin and listening to Bob Marley? If thats the case, then maybe you should complain.
But if you think they are working on the problem, i dont see how whining will speed up the process. The problem is obviously complicated and will take a while to fix. Devs are far from incompetent. Its not like yelling at someone at McDonalds you know...

I guess you have not been playing EVE for very long have ya ?

the real question here is, how come you dont know the difference between providing information and whining ? now on with the whine :-
tried a few things :-
shut down and restarted the pc (as opposed to a soft boot)
deleted machonet dir
compared the 2 prefs.ini found a ;; against password on the main that wasn't there on the alt's prefs.ini, but that hasnt changed anything re logging in.
dekleted all previous *.tmp files
even emptied explorers cache and deleted its *.tmp and cleared its history.
and the problem remains.
new #2 alt logs into Amarr without a problem.
main char doesnt get past charachter selection.

Hi forum users, this is an example of Fanboi behavior, read it carefully and you can see where the ignorant fanboi simply ignored everything that he quoted, then went on to abuse the op (me) for not showing undevoted love for game developers.
Incase Jim McGregor feels im victomising him, and that his response has actual value , i've broken down and numbered my post in order to explain it, I'm probably wasting my time however, as he failed reading comprehension the first time.
1 confirmation that Muadeeb Ousil isn't experiencing an isolated problem
2 A solution for Muadeeb Ousil's problems (servers are allways better after dt and the devs have had a chance to deploy patches they cant do while the servers running.)
3 A warning to Muadeeb Ousil to take it easy on any complaints, becuase theres Fanboi's like Jim McGregor who will flame him.
Jim McGregor you realise theres no prizes for posting dev love right? your post isn't constructive, an doesn't help Muadeeb in anyway.
Fanboi's = Trolls imho, and do not improve the eve community in anyway.

i've copied the main eve directory and run the #2 alt off that, but i have another alt off my main char, and that also logs in fine, problem for me specifically seems to be logging into space.

Just sit tight, last night i couldnt log any but later was fine.
Do i bother try logging in today or still bad crashy & travel Crap ?.
