Ive been a Gallente ship Pilot most the time ive been playing eve and now ive moved on to minmatar ships and i was wondering if anyone knew any good sniper setups on a Tempest ----------------- Ow Look A Cloud ! |

ATM im using
High slots:
x6 Named 1400mm Artillary Cannons (Carbonized Ammo) x1 heavy missile laucher x1 T2 clockin device
Med Slots:
x2 T2 sensor Booster x3 T2 Tracking computers
Low slots:
x2 T2 gyrostabilizers x3 T2 Tracking enhancers x1 T2 Med armour Rep
Any way to make it better ?

Use less tracking mods in your lows and more Gyro's, that many mods affecting the same attribute stacks very poorly.

how are you getting to 258km max range with 170km optimal and 44km falloff? that's 214km max range and barely hitting at 214km

Because @ optimal + fallof = 50% chance to hit optimal + fallof*2 = 0 % chance. Therefore the max range will be 258km:s.
But then you are Caldari and I'm minmatar woahahahaaaaa!

Your missing the fact that t1 sniper setups suck massively. im 40 days from t2 large hybrids and iv flown a megathron maybe 2 hours total. t1 guns suck tbfh ---------------------------

Looks poor tbh, and whos fitting all these 1400s without and rcu, If sniping is the game then you need fast locks and a bit of tracking in mids and gyros, maybe a tracking enhancer and a med repper in low (repper is for if it has gone really badly) in the extra 2 highs save one for a cloak the other whatever you like (remember if anything gets close enough for you to be able to Nos it then you have already messed up).
I assume this is for empire sniping as well since you dont need to worry too much about uber range in 0.0.
Preparation is your friend here also, make your spots around the gate and also from your gate to snipes on exit gates, that way if you miss the first time you can just warp to the other gate and get a few more shots in.

right now I'm using tech 1 guns..
have tech 2 = sensor boosters tech 2 tracking enchanters tech 2 gyros
tech 1 tracking cpu
my op range is only 108km..
what can i train to increase my range the most? Besides tech 2 guns?

Nice gangsniping:
6*1400II (Tremor), 2x medium remote repair 3xsensor booster, 2xtracking enhancer 3x gyrostab,1*rcu (I think, is some time ago), rest stabs or (what I prefer) nanofibers in small gangs, or plate and DCU for fleet ops so you might survive a volley if lady lag smiles at you...
alternatively you could use armor maintainence drones (at safespot) and use the remaining highslots for rocketlaunchers with defenders (which actually still work quite nicely at anything but torps if you have the range, though I heared rumours last patch might have totally killed the defender missiles, so test before drive)
Another nice one is:
6*1400II (Quake), dual medium remote rep, AB(II), 1x sensor booster, 3 damps, 3* gyro, RCU, DCU, plate
Be sure to have at least 3 pilots sniping and a mate in a bellicose or rapier painting.... Your range will be somthing like 50-60km with this, so you might call that medium ranged sniping.

How the hell do people fit this.... I can't fit 6x 1400mm II. Not even with advanced weapon upgrades at V...
Is there some skill I'm missing (engineering is at V as well).
