Edited by: Treylon on 06/09/2003 06:31:37 As a former member of the Fountain Alliance, I have seen and heard some things that make some elements of the FA seem nothing like pirates. To say the least I dissagree with some of their polcies. As such I wish to start a new alliance with a clearly defined code of conduct, so that no one in our alliance will abuse the power and do what an honorable alliance should do: defend innocent players in non-secure space. Here is our charter:
THE FREEDOM FEDERATION
The purpose of this organization is to counter the actions of Pirates and unlawful players as well as resolve conflicts between parties. Membership is available to all corporations who wish to exploit the natural resources of the far reaches of space in peace. Our intentions will not be like other alliances who seek do deny non-members access from regions of space. On the contrary we will let all LAW abiding citizens come into our territories freely. However, anyone belonging to known pirate corps or with more than a negative .5 sec rating will be attacked on sight. Furthermore, while non-members are permitted to coexist peacefully, The Freedom Federation is not obligated to protect them should another player not belonging to the Freedom Federation attacks them. Each member corp is entitled to designate a representative and is required to pay dues every two weeks. The representative is to represent their member corp in the Federation and to be a supervisor for their branch of military forces. The dues will go right back to the members of the Federation, any member who loses a ship in the line of duty will be compensated duly. Also a portion of the funds will go to newer members to help equip them for battles. Our code of conduct will be honorable and strictly enforced; any member who breaks the code will be ejected from the Federation, and or attacked.
OUR CODE
-It is our purpose to bring peace and civilization to non-empire space: As such we will never attack any player in our territory unless he is of a known pirate corp or has less than a negative .5 security rating.
-We swear to protect all members vigilantly, and respond to their calls of help.
-We will be courteous to any law abiding non-member corp or individual and leave them in peace, though we are not obligated to protect them any non-members any representative can call his forces to action on their behalf if he so chooses.
-Anyone breaking the code will be dealt with harshly, any person of a member corporation who is caught attacking an innocent player, member or not, will be attacked and ship destroyed. Further discipline of that individual is left to her/his corporation CEO.
-Any corporation Representative caught breaking the code will be ejected from the Representative status and will be attacked. The corporation they belong to will be changed to non-member status.
-No member of the Federation may attack a legitimate target, IE pirate corp or less than -.5 player without the supervision of a representative, unless fired upon first.
-Representatives must endeavor to come to the call of any conflict, or sightings of unlawful players. It is their responsibility to enforce the code and maintain integrity and accountability to all members.
-Armed conflicts between members vs members or non-members vs members will be investigated; a representative must go to the site and instruct all involved parties to cease fire. If both comply, talks will follow. If one or both parties fail to respond the Federation will attack those that do not cease fire.
Please contact me if you are interested, I am also open to suggestions for our charter. Once significant membership is in place some of the details and polcies will be ironed out, like how much the dues are and where we will found our home.

Do you guys wear capes?
Taken from the May 29th 2003 Devchat at EveGate . <Muaddid> Q: When will sentry gun and station and similar construction pods be introduced on the market? <Hellmar> we have various player owned entities already implemented. Sentry guns, power/shield generators, field repair mini-stations, mobile refineries. We are still working out the last tidbits of how they can be over taken, what is the penalty of having a sentry gun kill a n00b etc. and we have been a bit busy with plugging the holes that people have found.I would say that you'd start to see these items on the market in about 2-3 weeks, very expensive to begin with |

No this is about opening up some of the riches to EVE to honorable law abiding people. Currently negitiations with Interpol and EVE-Marshals are underway. Anyone else who share our values can join too. It's time the good people of EVE had a place in 0.0 space too!

So you get kicked out, or leave an alliance. Now you want people to join you get even?
Revenge is a dish best served cold. Read the Rules Of Conduct and Terms Of Usage

Ive played enough such games over the years to know that the Newbie revolutions always fail. Lack of organization is #1 reason. People not willing to pay the price is another, everyone want others to die for them
But i'll alert my pilots that you are entering war with us. Read the Rules Of Conduct and Terms Of Usage

Who said anything about n00bs? I'm not a n00b and certianly most of the corporations i'm dealing with are not n00bs. Will the n00bs benifit from the FF alliance, sure. But it will be built by experinced players.

heh, the sole purpose of corporations and there alliances are to gain control over things creating a monopoly. Whether is be in the market, land, or in this case space. Then make a profit from it. Alowing you access for a set fee. I hardly see this as pirating, if so go sue wal-mart since they of course are donig the same thing.

This is all about having fun and having teamwork among indviduals who share the same dream. Yea we're not gonna make alot of ISK not charging non-members and entry fees but we'll make alot of freinds and besides we're not obligated to protect non-members when pirates attack them.
