I call upon the wisdom of the internets for aid! I'm trying to get on Sisi, I've downloaded the client, I've patched the client, I've changed the infoplist thingy. I don't seem able to change the config file as the evlopedia article instructs, it opens something called terminal, which I've no idea what to do with. Please forgive my lack of savy, I'm sculptor and a luddite. Can anyone help? |

You can also choose what program to open the config file with. Open it with TextEdit, you may have to search for it. Either way I changed the config file and am still receiving a "Incompatible Version" error. Seems as though it still continues to try and connect to Tranquility and not Singularity. Don't know what to do. |

Mac comes with xCode unless you didn't download it from Developer section, then just download it. Use it to open config and it'll ask you to update with Java translator - 2 min - and voila! You can write into the existing code.
Even so, Sing client still opens into Tranq., just with all your settings lost - because it acts as if your first time visiting. It doesn't open your Tranq client! It just connects to Tranq server same as your Tranq client does. If you close Sing client and go back to opening Tranq client, you see your internal settings fine, just as you left them.
Strangest thing happened when I first ran Sing client after adding lines to config; login window opened and after moment of text fluttering where server name supposed to be, it settled on Tranquility. Foiled again! I decided to open anyway. Character window opens and where normally says EVE at top. guess what word shows up... Singularity! Weird, okay. But at least I found it! Or so I thought.
So, I continue to enter game and of course all the settings are off, reset them, back in hangar, open ships, nothing there! After four shakes then they appear, okay. Check out chat window and everyone is talking smack as usual; strange, after having read all the site specific rules and all. So I venture forth and ask what server I'm on... Tranquility, what else?! really weird. Close shop.
Gave up after that. Nothing had changed on file names, config code still there, just no Singularity in the Christmas sock.
Otherwise, there's not much assistance out there. Aside from those idiots who have nothing better to say than, "Mine works fine."
I loved the instruction that comes from hitting Mac on download page saying both servers running identical so just use Tranq client and point it in direction of Singularity. Yeah. I mean, I appreciate the fact that my computer has several cameras attached and there's a lot of stuff you can do with them, but somehow, I still get that nagging feeling it's looking at me like some little puppy wagging its tail and wondering what the f*%k I'm about as I jump up and down and yell and point at the pretty ball called Singularity I want it to go fetch.

Okay, I got it figured out, now. You only have specific windows of time to actually get yourself hooked up.
