Edited by: Slave Killer on 05/03/2006 19:12:27 I know that none of you are happy with the current situation and the *****ing that is going on in the forums can not be helping.
I am not a developer but I do work in IT Support and understand what its like when the **** hits the fan.
The weekend you planned to spend with your friends and family becomes a working weekend as you spend hours looking at logs and speaking with h/w and s/w developers. Trying to simulate the problems on the test server and trying different ideas.
Many of us value our "free" time on Eve to be able to play and have fun and weekends are peak time for most. So the game is not right, laggy, buggy and frequent reboots. I can go watch TV, go for a beer, curry and see my friends and family.
I suspect most of you have worked the weekend with very little sleep, lots of coffee and no beer, although maybe you managed a take away pizza or curry.
Sure in the past I have been vocal on the forums when I was not happy as I every right to be. But I also understand that you folks are just as ****ed off with the situation as everyone else is, the problem is you can't simply turn the computer off and go get beer. (Except maybe for Oveur, as he is not allowed near program code).
So a small thank you for your efforts over this weekend and I hope you get the problem sorted as soon as possible.
Its now time for a Curry and Beer.
Good Luck with the fault finding.

I'm not sure whats worse.
The 'I'm going to sue CCP cause I can't play the game for a day!' threads
or
The 'CCP may I have your children you are so awsome!' threads.
They screwed up, they are fixing their screw up. Screw up happen, and you need to fix when it happens. No scorn for the first, no praise for the second. This is something all professionals do in their jobs.

the "I'm going to sue CCP" thread was actually a joke btw.. go read it, have a good laugh ------------------------------------------- *sig space for hire, the fee is merely your soul and a buttload of pain*
*warning, this sigspace is fitted with T2 antihijack technology*
Too bad we have Jove technology then, cause this was no match for us - Wrangler I have already won the thread, end of forum boss respawns when Kieron says so - Cortes

I'm actually a bit grateful for the reboot tonight... meant I got to farm Infiltrated Outposts an extra time... will be able to do it 9 times now Maybe more if they do another reboot tomorrow night after I've done it a third time...

Unlikely, people always ***** about something. Have the courage of your convictions to post with your main.

That effectively rules out the convictions, at least.
