Greetings -
Is the Tengu worth the money for effective PVP anymore GÇô is there any Caldari ship that can fly solo anymore that has a chance at PVP.
It seems like at every turn the Caldari ships have been turned into plush toys and mining vessels. Actually, itGÇÖs kind of annoying.
I have been playing now for about five years and am just now getting serious about the game; so any advice for the Caldari player concerning PVP would be appreciated.
I'm sick of mining and industry.

As for the tengu, I don't see many about anymore but i'd still not want to meet someone solo using a kiting tengu with links/snakes. |

Caldari frigs are awesome , the cerb makes a nice nano boat , the BC`s work just fine and so do some battleships like a nano CNR |

100MN Tengus seem to be really popular in lowsec for fighting in DED complexes as they can solo the complexes in a PvP fit which is nice if you get a good drop but more importantly, excellent bait, as people will come running to gank the Tengu doing a complex. Also because of acceleration gates they can always position themselves to their advantage or simply leave if you bring something they can't handle.
As for other good Caldari solo PvP ships, Christine pretty much nailed it, I'd add Merlin to that list as well, it's a little bit slow and susceptible to getting kited, but it is an excellent brawler. Caracal used to be excellent solo but then CCP butchered RLMLs, it's still useable with a HAM kite fit but HAMs lack the damage application against frigs so you'll often find that you can easily get hard tackled by frigs which kinda ruins the kiting potential, it doesn't really work as a brawler due to lack of tank/gank compared to other brawling Cruisers. |

tengus certainly have the dps and tank to brawl very effectively should they choose to.
