Is this legit - seems strange that someone has gotten hold of 1000 game cards?

Wow, what a stupid link, the OP is talking about a guy selling GTC for RL cash, not ISK. Maybe reading the post would be a good idea before attempting to be a smartass, because now you just look like an ass. 
Anyway looks dodgy to me, CCP sell those cards at ú17.11 each in the online store and that guy is selling them for ú14.00 each... alarm bells are ringing. He can't be making a profit unless he got them by 'other' means.

Except that he says he has the cards themselves in the wrapping, not time codes. And they're 50-day cards, the kind you can find in the store and in some businesses (that usually don't purchase again when they realise they don't sell).

I am originally form NJ/USA. North jersey that is. I live in UK now. But in North Jersey me and my cousins always refered to merchandise like that, and in that quantity, and in a single person's hand as:
"Fell off a truck."
Allot of our friends belonging to local union had allot of stuff that just fell off a truck.
