Returning to EVE after a year and some break (played couple of months). Char is Minmatar (Brutor, Pator Tech School), with all rank 1 Learning at 4 (except Empathy) for Int.8, Per.17, Cha.8, Wil.14, Mem.15. Total 1.2 mil SP.
I the light of the new Bloodlines patch and from what I have been reading the buffed up new chars, should a start a new one or keep this one. I'm a casual player looking mostly for mission running and occasional pvp (probably in high sec for a while). What so I stand to lose/gain if I restart, what is the timeframe a restart would pay off in?

I've been facing the same question with my alt, who is only at 750k sp. I've been having a hard time with the idea of shelving him, however, because I have alot of time invested in his learning skills which are to lvl 4 for all base skills.

Go with your old character. No use to re-roll.

Use your current character.
Read the skills and ship description to find out what you like.
Learnings at 4 with probably frigate 3-4 and support skills are a very good start.
1.2 mil skillpoints will be a month or 2 to recover imo.

Well decided to stick with my char (btw the 17 Perception was with a +2 implant I forgot about). Already have Frigate 4, Cruiser 3, loads of support skills and Mechanic 5 (trained it when I quit). Low int is going to hurt my combat orientation, so I might go with training it and perception to 5 and getting the rank 2 ones.
