I been asked by lots of clients to make a small logo and brand my siggys for my clients, I would like to know the opinion of the comunity. Please let me know what you think about .. in my opinion i shouldnt since branding will remove a bit of space from the siggy. I did a total of 348 siggys so far.

depends on how the branding is done, too big and it will fail. but small and just noticable you should be ok

I have no idea how to brand it, but if i had too it would be a very small BB (pixel font probably with a little detail)

as long as it is VERY small, barely noticeable, but someone will know if they are looking at a Brother Benthor siggie

Not sure I'd like someone else's name on my sig but perhaps a mark of some sort.
A stylised BB logo in the bottom right hand corner or something would be ok. Something like this. So you'd have a sig with a small tag like this (although, obviously a higher quality sig *grin*)

OMG! You really are the king of sigs! How long have you been making sigs for now?
I think it would be a shame to brand your art man! Couldn't those who want to show off their shiny new BB sig just include a ref to your name in text under the sig? Well if you do go the branding route, I'd make it very small and almost transparent.
So when can I drop by for some graphic design lessons?

I personally think you should. It'll be an easier way to advertise that you make siggys. If I had a signature by you (or anyone) I wouldn't mind if they branded it as long as it was small and didn't take up too much space in the image. ------------------------- I Make Sigs And we hax them. --Jorauk The sig was too big - 400 x 120, max size 24000 kbs! - Cortes no no no.. I'm the official sig nerfer here.. didn't u know that? - Jacques' |

Edited by: Kurren on 08/03/2006 19:14:21 Those that need to know that he makes siggies... know that he makes siggies. I would say, if your client wants you to brand it then by all means, give the customer what they want. But, otherwise I wouldn't bother. 348 sigs since October is proof enough that you've got a customer base.

@Godlesswanderer: You'r right it would push my advertisement to a bigger level, but would u, for example, like to see someone else name in every of your own Forum Posts? i think it gives the impression it's been robbed or something..
@Kurren: /signed, even got returning customers i think the people-tell-people is what been making by business move on.

Personally, if I paid such obscene amounts of isk for a siggy (no offence, it's just a lot of cash for me ), I wouldn't like to have a logo not my own in it... Like you say, you are already very well known in the community, so you don't really need the advertising anyway.

You'r totally right, i will design a logo and use it only if the client requires it (no extra cost of course) i will add it to the siggy.

If you can work it into the design then why the hell not. From experience, the more text you put in a sig the uglier it gets. ______________
