Is it just me, or did the Blood patch change the stargate jump and decloaking after jumping sounds?
Ive seen people complaining about the warping sounds, which I dont mind, but havent seen anyone mention the jumping and decloaking sounds. They annoy the heck out of me.
Am I just nuts?

Yeah, dunno why cloaking sound was added to when you jump INTO a new system, that's just needless.

CCP requested feature please - quite simple really.
For CEOs days since last login details on all members in their Corp. this will help manage inactives and those that dont log in can be removed - |

Yup, I am with you Radley. I asked if anyone else thought it was a bug but got no replies. The new cloaking sound as I described it sounds like a backed up toilet with some extra reverb. If it were not in space they would HEAR you cloak all the way across the system!

This game has sound?
Oh I remember now. I turned it off after the jump sounds managed to annoy my entire family AND me AT the same time.
I don't think any game has ever managed to do that before.

Yeah, there was an update to the audio.dll file in the patch, i'd heard those sounds before, but never as consistantly we all do now. It was technically a bug fix with the audio code, but in practise, it seems that the sound isn't as suited to the role as it would of been imagined. I'm still unsure as to whether its because you hear others emitting the sound so clearly, almost regardless of distance or whether its just too much with it playing on each side of the jump.
Its a nice sound, but now played so frequently, its lost its specialness, its rarety that allowed it to be of such flamboyant design.
