If someone steals my can, and they show -5 standing to me, do I have rights to attack them without Concord intervention? Or will I be attacked in secure space for defending my ore?
the latest ore thief thread made it sound as if I am not able to defend my cans, I'm wondering if this is true or not.

they take from your can you get 15mins to kill them, but be warned, you shoot them then they can shoot you back with no concord intervention

If he has a -5 sec rating or lower you should be able to shoot him right in front of a Concord Battleship and they won't even blink at you. But correct me if I'm wrong.

thats great news, that's what I was told by many people in game, but I wanted to make sure before blasting someone if I have to. btw, the line that confused me in the ore theft tutorial was the following:
"Once you've tracked it down, warp in at a safe distance (I prefer 60km) and check the situation out. Look out for likely suicide frigates, (Concord response times can be painfully slow in 0.6 and 0.5)"

If I were you though i would make sure it is at least -5.1 if it is -5.0 it could actually be -4.99 and you will be BBQed by concord

Dont confuse personal/corp standings and sec status

If they are -5 security status they are not going to be up in 0.6 or 0.7 anyways people
-5.0 standing is different from -5.0 security status. Standing and security are not the same thing or even linked in any way.
I'm afraid you are going to have to let me see your giving advice licences.
