Asteroids in the tutoiral only give 1 unit ore before depleting. As you have to fill you cargo bay with the mined ore before it allows you to move on to the next stage, you have to mine 100's of asteroids to fill it. Is this the norm or is something dodgy going on... Its just after the section of the tutorial where you have to kill the pirate key holder to go through the gate. Any help on this would be much appreciated as i only have evenings to play, and i'd rather not spend the next 3 weeks going from asteroid to asteroid picking up a measly portion of ore when i could be exploring and such. Thanks Edon

yes it is a pain doing the tutorial but its worth it otherwise you wont know how half of this stuff works.

I am more than happy to do the tutorial as otherwise i would be completely lost but they are just making it slightly more tedious than it need be by having to mine millions of asteroids.
So, to get to a dead space asteroid field from where i am at the mo (in the afore mentioned 1 unit asteroid field) do i just warp there or do i have to start the tutorial over ...

I think the reason those asteroids have so little ore in them is because there are lots of newbies going through the tutorials mining them out.....

When I went through the tutor, I filled my hold from one asteroid. Either they are mined out or something else is amiss. I suggest that you petition it.

Despite what Aura says, you only need one unit to get through the gate.

Got all my ore from one roid as well, I just think the belt has been mined dry. Try again today after update, they usually respawn roids on tues/thurs _______________

you do not have to fill your cargo bay. there's a certain amount you do need but it's far from filling the cargo bay. Think I had about 15-30ish Ore units. I think the tutorial won't allow you to leave till you have the right number but I might be mistaken. I've done it twice (recently) and I didn't fill the bay. I only got 1 unit from the first couple I mined. Then I topped off with the next 3 I hit. There was a steady flow of newbs into the system though and I imagine it was running low.

Those must have been dry stones. I just did the tutorial and filled up on just about every asteroid i mined.
Sounds like a lot of people - like me - heard about the new servers and decided to check this game out. It's a good thing.
