I have been playing around 1 month have 500k sp and have been a general all rounder but would like to skill up for more pvp, so far i am in vexor, brutix or tristin and wondered which direction of ship to train in next. I am gallente and can use 4 meduim drones atm and am skilled fairly across the board. i am wondering whether to go tier two frigates or maybe battleships although this will take me a week to learn cruiser4 as all my learning skills are at level 3. your thoughts pls.

Hey, I would say to go down the assualt frigate (AF) route mate as they can easily be equipped for solo pvp'ing but the engineerig and mechanic lvl5 can take some time to train. battleships are quite quick to train for and if your working on your drone skills as appose to gunnery then i'd say go for a dominix. i wouldn't pvp in a gunning battleship until i had at least 1 mil in gunnery but a good nos/drone domi setup as most pvp'ers know is lethal. the dreaded vampadom. If you need help with setups let me know,

AF is a useless ship...it gets killed by a good cruiser pilot easily... interceptors r much better ship to go for...

silly boy.
i can toast a cruiser no prob's in my af, and so can many others.
any to the OP.
if u want to pvp, get your support skills up and your gunnery, then take out T1 frigs to experiment and get a feel for it (there cheeap) once u have a alittle knowledge thn get a t2 frig. ceptors take longer to train than AF's (not by much mind you) and are cheaper. but ultimately what style of gameplay are u going for?
ive never had much luck with ceptors so i dont fly them and preferr my AF, but thats just me
where can i petition the ISD member that messed with my sig for no reason? |

Join a corp that is up for PvP. A gang can use a frig for roles and such.
but an assault frig is a real nice weapon - in a gang. If you want to go solo PvP you need far better skills :)

I would highly reccomend assault frigs to head towards, their base skills will help you in the long run ;) Proving natural selection and Charles Darwin wrong since 1981.

thanx guys i like your ideas, i do like frigates and love my cruisers to, as for gameplay, im not experienced enough to comment on that. I guess i do not want to have to run every time i see a red ship and would like to kill a few pirates too. Im more of a bit of everything type of player, especially being ceo of a corp of 18 atm, just feel its nice to be fully equipped to deal with every situation. Atm im doing level 2 missions and help mining ops either protecting or carrying. I am nearly skilled with procurer so after that will concentrate on pvp training.

Its good to set some goals as they will help you specialise and make the most of things.
Think Frigate, then electronics, engineering, mechanic, Gunnery, Lasers > Assault frigs, Weapon upgrades, hull upgrades, adv weapon upgrades > Cruiser, medium guns, repair systems, drones, energy management skills > HAC, medium gun spec, more hull upgrading etc.
Obviously change a few of those around as you go..
ADV weapon ugrades is a must though really does let you fit some nice kit on your ships, and a bit of focus keeps you at a pace you can manage.

lol ppl that say silly statements like that make me laugh. my harpy can roast most cruisers (unless they have nos) quite comfortably. and furthermore a small group of af's can be deadly if equipped right. I say go for it mate. and as someone else said i'd definately join a pvp corp or recruit pvp'ers. i learnt everything i know from corp friends over the years. Good luck anyway
