I have the learning skills to lev 4 ..
and been thinking about taking them to the advanced learning levels, just that i am not happy about being virtually handicapped from playing for almost a month while thet get to lev 5 .....
i have important skills that need to be trained to help me enjoy the game...
and advice on my predicament ?

"learning skills" is not a MUST to play eve, its a thingie you can train to train faster, not a must.
Others will train faster than you YES, but thats not what eve is about.
So if you wanna train learnings, do so, if not yet, dont train yet?

Good point, and i think i will train them up, once i have some decent assult frig skills.....
then i can do some lev 2-3 missions while i wait

Get the advanced to lvl 4 is my recommendation. Boring As hell, but then you don't have to bother with them for quite a while.

I would look at those "real" skills you want to train next and do the primary attribute to advanced 3 for that skill group. Repeat as you come to different skill groups.
If you have a whole load of skills you need to go to the next level in gameplay, then do all relevant learning skills to advanced 3, but I'd be surprised if you really needed more than one or two to that level for your immediate ambitions.

really I think the quickest path is to train memory to level 5 then advanced memory to level 5 then repeat for Intelligence, the other stats can be done in any order since the basic learning skills will take alot less time. assuming that you are going to go for them all.
PS Plenty of people will tell you that charsima will never "pay off" but thats not the point.

Don't spend TOO much time training your learning skills. Sure they help, but taking 2 weeks to train learning 5 BEFORE you train to cruisers is a waste of time. I'd get it to lvl 3 mabey 4 if you just need a long train, IE update day or weekend etc. Work on training your Job related skills, and do training skills only when you have the extra time.

Well, i have the basic ones to 4 and 4x 3+ basic implants in my head, so i am ok for the moment.....
i will train them up once i have a few more good fighting skills....
question...
as well as the learning skills that add an atribute point, there is also the *learning* skill which reduces you time by 2%....
Should i also get the advanced version of that ?

Don't forget the "learning-learning"-skill. Not to be scowled at, when you hit higher lvls.
And remember that advanced learning lvl 5 does not pay itself until 3 years of playing.

The skills that I refer to as "Advanced Learning" are those which prereqs are the Rank 1 skills to lvl 5.
