GL guys, I made clear the reasons why I was staying with the .5. in the corpmail. If my skillset were different I probably would have stayed.

Not true. SUPRM regularly patrol Syndicate in small gangs, whenever I see a (non-hostile) gate camp going on, it is usually by these guys.
With SUPRM leaving (I assume), the other OSS corps have to step up to provide that additional layer of security they provided.
