Seems this sprawling MMORPG has take the same turn the rest of its predecssors has. Its now a pk environment for kids.
I really thought this one had enough potential to make the experience different from the others but the players have got bored and they turn on each other when that happens. AND THEN....whats the point?
Why would i spend hours mining to get a new ship and then take it out for a test drive only to get it blown up by some jerk in a BS?
Anyways, ur losing two customers. Sucks for u, l8.

I believe the problem lies with lack of in-depth content. CCP originally planned to rely on the players to create game content, but as we are beginning to see this is not enough.
Let me clarify in saying that I don't think that CCP should make EVE based on a storyline like Earth and Beyond where you had to follow the storyline to progress.
I think the solution is somewhere in the middle. They should incorporate some storyline content to Eve and also allow players to progress without following the storyline if they want.
Personally I think they need to add more nomalies to space like space rifts, worm holes, black holes, radiation, comets...etc.etc. If they only did this that would be enough to create more to do and see for most folks.
As it is, you fly around Eve and just see more planets and more asteroid belts and nothing else.
Now that I think about it. Eve could learn alot from Earth and Beyond. Don't get me wrong I like Eve but I miss the game content that was in Earth and Beyond.
Maybe things will change in the future. Until then the players will continue to try and find ways to amuse themselves when they get bored and that includeds player killing.

Yeah, there should be a bit more eyecandy. I guess there are plenty of spots to find. Like old carved out asteroids with mining facilities on them and such.
It would be cool to fly through some kind of gas cloud electrical storm. If you ever seen Event Horizon, you know what I mean.

Ya, honestly, i dont care. But i have the same opinion, boring due to lack of content. Just like fishes without more of their kind, they start killing everything else in the tank.
[email protected] if your interested in a fighter pilot type char with 1.8 mil skill points.

im i the only 1 thats had it with this game?., this game should of been delayed 6 moths so they could incoperate all aspects instead of a bit at a time.

Actually, not a flame at all, but offering valuable advice. If you've come to the conclusion that there's no point to EVE, the only sensible thing to do is spend your 12 bucks a month on something else. :)

There's nothing wrong with PK, so long as both parties want to engage in fighting.
However what there is a problem with is Griefing. Perhaps the two are being confused slightly.
Griefing being the unprovoked, none-rational attack of a plyer, where the aggressor has very little to gain, other than the sheer thrill of killing the other person, kinda like a serial killer. For example battleships sitting in a newbie system podding new players in Ibis's.
Such issues have for the most part been removed, empire space allowes for no PvP unless the people engaging in it are at war.
A unvierse such as eve, in areas not policed by concord would be extremley dangerous and hostile, i think people are just having a harsh time taking this into consideration and coping with it. If so Earth and Beyond* is still going (just) perhaps thats the game for u.
