Looked through the forum's didnt see anything....
I have accepted this mission (first COSMOS) and am excited about getting to fight, and when i get to the ACC Gate its Locked for ship type (I'm in a Ferox BC). It says that you can bring frigates and cruisers, and elite's.
Now this is a Level III mission...and I dont have an elite cruiser... w/o the ferox is it realistic to think a Caracal or Moa could take it?
I dont have the skills for the elite's, nor have i ever planned to get them, as this is a production/research character.
Is there a rhyme or reason to restricting the ship type, i.e. all level IIIs disallow BC's?

I not remember the specific mission to tell u if it is easy or not to try it in a normal cruiser.If it's not a deadspace mission with a bookmark and it is a trade mission (see at your journal) then u should never accept those (trade missions)before u got the item - objective in your hands. If someone will ask me:should i start doin cosmos missions while i cannot fly hac's or at least assault frigs i will answer him "u better not",except if u got friends to make good gangs. Not always but many times at cosmos missions and plexes u will face this situation.Gates that donot allow battleships bruisers even hac's sometimes.So be prepared. Get a good gang with locals and visit the plexes around to get hold some items before u speak to the agents.

I see Caracals running all over the place in Cosmos constellation, including the site in question, so it's certainly doable... with 5 mid slots you can set up Caracal to resemble pretty closely missile Ferox, she'll just be bit more fragile. ^^;;

Use your scanner at the first gate usually you can detect whats there at distances between 15,000 and 20,000km.
It should give you an indication of what to expect.
