Does anyone have one? And if so how long did it take you to get it? The reason I ask is that I'd love to have one. I'm just wondering how long it's going to take to get one.

yes people have them. takes same amount of time as a dread, except you gotta train fighters and the likes.

Many, many months. It's probably longer than for a Dread since you need the same skills, minus perhaps guns, but you have to have a lot of drone skills to make up for it.

put it this way +1 month Advanced Spaceship command 5, +1 month for the jump drive, +1 month for Drones 5 & Drone Interfacing 5, about +1.5 months for battleship 5, +1 month for the capital shield or armor rep, plus a slew of other skills that are pretty basic. So about 6 months with good learning skills and about a billion isk in skills.

yeah I have a friend who owns one, and I saw one jump the other day by chance too, guess I'm just lucky.

I have not got one yet, but working on it going to take me another 2 to 3 months of skilling to get it drone interfacing lvl5 will finsish in 2 days, but then i still have bs lvl5 atm will take me 47 days and then advanced space ship command to do.
Even once there done, you need 600 to 700 mils for skills like cap ships and the carrier skil.
Atm i a mining away for the 55 mil trit i need for BYOB deal but then you got to pay 300 mil to get the thing built.
Its been a long road and i had been playing for a year, but tbh my skills are al over the palce, i train skills that i eed at the time and dont really pvp. so half the skills i need had to be trained from scratch.
all I would say is that you have to be very patiant to get one.

The carrier skill is 450m compared to the dred skill which is 95m That sucks

Carriers are more versatile than Dreads - either as a support ship, base of operations, or slugging it out on the front-line using fighter squadrons. The carrier skill also allows you to pilot motherships (if you can afford the 15b to buy one!)
