The tempest has alot of options... I really want a armor tank but I don't know what the best will be against all kind of damage. I will be tanking the sentries
Low slot - Large Armor Rep II - Large Armor Rep II - Armor Hardener II - Kinetic Hardener II - Thermal Hardener II - 1600mm Plate II
does Tc I and II really make a big differents( The Hardeners I mean)

For all out tanking, plate is normally the lesser option.
With good armour compensation skills:
2x Large Rep II 3x Adaptive Nano 1x Explosive Hardener II
You need to find the cap to keep it going, though. Cap injectors are good if you can refill them often. Don't rely on nos, as most opponents will be using it too.

so that's the best armor tank voor all kinds of damage, to tank the sentries. what about 4 of those Adaptive Nano's II?

I'd personally go with 3 active + EANM coz of the stacking penalty. One of those mods will give hardly anything to explo res.
Oh, and a damage control can be better than a 3rd EANM, as it isn't affected by stacking penalty.
Edit no 2 ( ), if you lack grid and/or cpu for your setup, consider "downgrading" to a dual accommo tank.

I guess I'm just a lazy, adaptive nano w***e.
The stacking penalty does mean that one of them won't do a lot, true. But you'll still end up with about 70% explosive res iirc, and given the frequency with which you encounter it, I wouldn't worry too much about losing that final 3-4% from the adaptive for the other benefits it gives. Admittedly, I've put off doing/looking at real maths on multi adaptive nanos for some time, as I haven't armourtanked a battleship at all pretty much since RMR, so I could be wrong.

How are you planning to control the engagement range? Are you tackling with lighter ships in support or are you the main tackler? If you are flying the main tackler then I'd drop an SB II for either a web or MWD to keep them locked down and in range.
It might also be worth it to get in their faces and swap the disruptors for scrams and get 4 points on the target instead of 2.
