So right before server reset a short while before this post, a player linked a Concord battleship fitting that I found quite interesting and saved to my fits. It has modules on it like "Miner II (China)", "QA Smartbomb" (the latter says in the description "This module does not exsist", lol!), and "Huge Active Stealth System". I wasn't sure how this player got this link to begin with as I was certain that Corcord ships are NPC only, so I thought.
After reset, I logged back on and shortly after undocked from Jita to head to my destination. Lo and behold, this player is sitting in front of the station with this Concord battleship (with "DED" and "Swat" on the sides of the ship). If I wasn't carrying a cargo hold full of things I needed, I wouldn't have used a safe warp outside of the station so quickly, so I didn't get a name, or a screen shot.
Still, I KNOW what I saw, and I still have his battleship fitting in my fitting browser (which I'll be happy to link to anyone in game if they want). So, I'm asking in general, is there something I'm missing? Were these ships given out as a reward for something in the past? Is it a game dev? Is it a hack? Or am I just plain seeing things and going nuts? (yeah, I know you wanna say the latter).

The fit is believable, I've gotten Dev Ship Fits from other people and saved them away, they're novelties.
As for a player in a Concord ship, the only way that'll happen is a Dev Roam, and a Dev will be in control of the ship. |

I fly a Eidolon Jovian battleship through space.
Ill send you that fit too. I can undock and show you the ship it you want to in Dodixie. However because of all of the gankers I have a Mimic Module II Which also isnt on the list and I can make the ship look like anything like erm a megathron.
Youll see me there in my "Mimic Megathron" with the name Eidolon on the side. So make sure you say hi mkay

Some ridiculous FITS linked in chat are actually not uncommon, usually Pods with all four Doomsday weapons and whatnot but I have seen some Jovean ship fits as well so that-¦s entirely possible.
As for a player actually FLYING a Concord ship, sorry, I think you misperceived.
Though I won-¦t entirely rule out a drunk Dev. It-¦s that time of year after all.....

Looks like OP got into those boosters CCP gave away today. You have to use them in moderation, or you get weird hallucinogenic side effects. |

Fits can be manipulated any way you want. They are saved as XML documents which can be changes to make any ship have any fittings. I have a Maller fit I made with Capital Torps, twenty mid slots and like 5 rigs. You didn't see a player flying a CONCORD ship, you probably right clicked and selected "View" on the wrong thing in space.

somehow, I don't find it unbelievable that a dev would allow a player to screw around with one on SiSi. Unlikely, but not unbelievable.

didnt someone once successfully destroy a dev ship and recover some item they shouldnt be able to acquire? I dont remember if it was a module or even a ship entirely. I just remember hearing about it, they gave up the unpermitted item and got something in return if i remember right.
But alas that story might just be a fantasy tale, like the quad doomsday pods |

I think this might have been it. Seems to be the general consensus among the others I spoke to about it.

Wow, ok. I didn't realize you were actually there. /sarcasm off. I saw the thing with my damned eyes.
All in all, once again, I regret taking the time to share such things with the forum community (and would take back the post if I could and keep it in game). Trolls and flamers be damned, I miss the '90s...

No a Dev flying a starter jove frigate decided to give away a mining laser from said ship to a guy from TTI, unfortunatly said Dev did not realise the beam was Tech 5 and made a honest screw-up, I belive its base mining amount was 120 per cycle which was insane considering the best at the time, Cu-vap was 58.
TTI were asked to return it and got 100 miner 2's I belive for doing so, hence the first Tech 2 modules on the server and what started the introduction of Tech 2. |

I once saw a video on youtube when I was just a young nooblet back in '09 where there was a player who was actually ship spinning a concord battleship in his hangar. I cba to find it right now but I'm sure if you dig deep enough it's there.
