For all the shitposting and epeen crap happening you have to commend both sides for providing alot of entertainment to alot of WH folks.
Props to Disavowed & Co for going balls deep, (taking all their home towers down and going all in) I can't recall any other notable WH groups going that hardcore (BU doesn't count)
Also props to Kill for retaining their system and coordinating what was probably the biggest fleet in WH history so far.

You mistake this for bravery. It was not bravery. It was deferment to security. They don't want to be invaded anymore.

I am not sure where you got bravery from, as he definitely never mentioned that.
Give credit where credit is due. They more or less went for broke. Emptying your own home system so you only have to focus on the invasion shows they were dedicated to the singular goal of eviction. Granted, that got them nowhere but you get the idea.
Will there alliance survive that sort of thing? I think we can all bet it probably won't. The real lesson learned here is if you are going to evict, you go overkill or you end up killed. It all boils down to who has the mightier batphone. In this case, it definitely wasn't Disavowed.

I don't know the background leading up to the fight but Disavowed gained a little of respect for taking that fight. Let me fix some wrong assumptions. This retardation was the brainchild of Max Leadfoot, not Nutmeg. Though nutmeg was involved in the decision making, what really happened was Max thought it up and then placed all of the responsibility on nutmeg.
I digress, Nutmeg is just associated with the WRONG people. He is a great FC... I'm not sure why you are doubtful of that. |

- We were invaded by two alliances unprovoked and pushed them out without help. Good fight!
- We didn't break our word on the retreat agreement, as our opponents moved out a fleet at downtime, trapping our ships outside and bypassing our terms. In response, we killed an archon/a few of them, and I approve of Nutmeg's decision to do so, and I even warned the opposing side.. if that was not passed to the pilots, not my problem. Our deal was the invading force would contact us for an exit, not collapse our chains and expect a free pass at will.
- Disavowed decided to invade in a meeting, in which, believe it or not, I was actually neutral because I didn't want to spend a ton of time shooting sticks during the holidays.
- We invaded in response to the invasion against us, and were pushed out by hundreds of pilots from WH, Null, HS. Good fight!
For years I've dealt with alts sending harassing mails, posting nonsense and spewing garbage all over these forums. You can't win in game so you defer to other means. The reality is, noone cares.
To those that fought, GF and fun stuff - to the peons making comments and judgements from afar.. you missed out. |
