Ok i'm not a noob, I started playing almost two years ago. Then I took a short 6-8 month breake and suddenly something called HAC has arrived? What is this HAC, what does it stand for, what does it do and is it friendly? I'd like to know, thank you.

HAC is short for Heavy Assault Cruiser, which is the common name for Heavy Assault Ships.
So it's techinally incorrect term, but since all Heavy Assault Ships are cruisers it is a fitting name for the Class.

HAC stands for heavy assault cruiser, although officially they're known as heavy assault ships

It's friendly to you, just not the stuff you aim its guns at. HACs have very nice damage resistances and damage bonuses of some kind. They're basically meatgrinder versions of their cruiser counterparts, but usually require high skills to use properly. That's in terms of character skills (tech2 guns, etc) and player skill. :)

They also have uber tanking capabilities making them ideal for PvP or lvl 4 missions.
