USN CVN72 and the USN CVN73 have have been newly commissioned and have passed all sea/space trials. Currently being deployed in Stain Region. As of yet these Carriers have not been engaged.

What we gotta remember is that it takes time for these things to start being fully implemented into operation.
People have to determine the best use for them and this takes time. Unlike Dreads, Carriers have a lot of grey in areas in terms of performance as such this will probably mean a month or two b4 full their as common as otherships.
Just like the command cruisers etc.
Just give it time :)
BTW: WTS Chimera's - 1bil - The Forge region ;)

Shall i get into details about "ze southern slaugther" we make over 2B isk a day in loot shall i? The problem with ur KB is that it simply doesnt show the losses u suffer, only about 10% roundabout.
To stay on topic: Carriers will be far more common than dreads cause they are a bit more useful in battles, not only pos shooting and they are not as expensive as them boring dreadies

I am not trying to in anyway inflame anything but I have one question... What kind of a noob flys a carrier? I mean as I see it you would need at least 20 million skillpoints to effectively even begin to train for one IMHO. And having that many skillpoints one should not be called a noob.

Yes and no, in that order. Only mothership I know of definitely is the one BoB got from the caldari championships, but it wouldn't surprise me if there's others around by now as well. Only reason there would not be any more yet is due to build time, but I don't know how long it takes to build a mothership.

on that note my corp took down a carrier and i was wondering if anyone else had this problem. The guys fighters were moving to fast to hit anything. I think that was the problem. It didnt do much damage. It just seemed like the carrier was bugged to much to be useful atm. In some ways i hope the guy got his carrier back from petition but at the same time im glad we killed it

In testing I've found that my eagle with no mods can passively tank a single non-EM fighter indefinitely. They MWD too much and orbit too tightly to hit a cruiser sized object but 1 in 5 shots.
They punk battleships however.

Hi!
I will post something about the fight.
It was a pretty nice experience to me, which gaves me nearly an hour fun.
So long has gone this battle.
To use my own private Carrier include the loot etc..., i had make out of Mission running, was my own choice.<- Missions is what i had done for a realy long time so i can say its hard to loose a navythron/carrier "yes" ( @bizarre) but everthing is replacable...
The fight:
At first i warp to station and was bumped by structur to " hell"
The Fight starts and they have loose 2 crows 2 taranis 1 sabre ( interdictor) and a stabber.
To this time they havent had any chances to break my tank.
well i had enough time to approach the station now and was on distance 0 m.
to hold the tank for 60 secs to finish the aggresion timer was easy at this moment and i had the chance to dock.
why i havent done this?
I had the feeling that i can handle the friggang doing this tactic include the distance to station and feeling "bumpages " dosent work anymore .
My mistake: thought " bumpage" like frigs against carrier arent work after patch anymore...... i was realy surprised that it works..
"Its illogic but this is how the game works atm......."
So they bumped me to hell.....
"warp in warp out" bumpage and again
at least they form an other gang include a other tactic and 3 bs some assualt frigs / cruisers had bring me down.
Well it was a good work trapping me in this situation and i can only say GRATZ.
I m sure u had njoy the fight too, and was surpised how long i had survive, and work effektiv against u. (50 minutes from the first kill to my kill)
Such an Experience u cannot get on the "testserver" and both side has had a lot of fun this morning( include me).
In the time i had play Eve now i had loose many many ships include officer fittings (commander loot etc.... yes its bitter but how i need all of them if i dont use it?
To see the dust fall down on it inside the hangar?

Ye u did very well , tough u could of saved ur carrier u stay and fight , we didnt have the necesary force to take u down before the agression was over at that time , but anyway on a more serios note i think u sould petition about this .. i mean bumping off a station using a insta and in a carrier is very sad and in my opinnion ccp sould pay u back ur ship whit every faction u had on it . If u need evidence on this matter i have it all on fraps even when u first bumpt of station , if u want that part try and contact me ingame . And yes the drones do hurt !!111  |

Bumping had nothing to do with him die'n.
A bad insta is not petitionable.
There is NO way to get bumped when warping to a station at 15,20,30,40,60,80 or 100km.
Also, there is no way to dock, when you are agroed. I am sure there are dominix pilots out there that know what you did wrong.

Lights/meds = frig
heavies = cruiser
fighters = BS/capships

Heh I have at least 2 petitins that tell me that bumping is apparently no longer possible in the game (they are under the mistaken impression that it was removed in Exodus or something)
