Edited by: Jim McGregor on 09/03/2006 17:01:50 About how much money would you make from killing npc rats with a apoc per hour? I used to do it a few years ago, but been away from the game and things have changed. Ignore the loot value... hard to predict. Just the isk. --- "Automatic override. Guess you can make 20mill or so each hour npc hunting in good 0,0 belts with an apoc. Thats without including the loot. "This means V+R."

I don't know about an Apoc, since I haven't ratted with an Apoc in over a year...but I do about 15m ISK an hour in the Fountain Region with a Cerberus vs. Serpentis rats. This is a rough average, of course. Much depends on the quality of spawns on a given day.

I find it interesting that every poster makes more isk than the one before. Ill just wait for 5 more people to post and we'll see 100 million in a frigate.... =) --- "Automatic override. loot tables are crap. Atleast where I am anyway. Usurpers dropping standard crap. Even dreads don't drop much these days. If you nuke all the belts and keep the npcs coming you can make some decent isk. I make about 15m an hour in a Raven. Use to make about 25m-30m when the loot tables were good after RMR, but they have been screwed with since then. -You got pwnd by us too :P - Wrangler lol - Imaran

Spawns are just crap at the moment. It's not somuch the loot tables, eventhough those are crap aswell. It's more the frequency of spawns which is quite neglectable. Even in a very low sec system with 20+ belts you'll be happy to find more than 3-4 bships spawns at any given time... 15-20 mil an houre... hmmm maybe, on a good day when noone was in that system before.

NPC income comes mainly from rewards, partly from refining loot down, and very little from rare loot resale. Chaining 3 x 1.4 BS for about 5 hours made me just under 100 mill including refining the loot and selling the minerals. I was getting about 2-3 respawns per hour, and I dont see how you do better than these figures. This is an exceptional day - normally I make less than 10 mill per hour. "Rare" stuff isnt rare in the area you are hunting and unless you are willing to haul it through empire isnt worth very much, so cant really be included in the the pot. The exception to this is officer spawns, which you have to hunt for but then, you cant sit chaining so you miss the guaranteed income. I suppose officer spawns or getting a mining op can make a lot of isk. I just havent had anything significant yet. NPC hunting is a good source of income, but you have to bank on 10-20 mill an hour. As soon as there are more hunters in the belts, this can fall significantly. Max Cohen

LOL I make about 4 or 5 million an hour when I'm on a roll. It's often less, but I'm not in any hurry, either. And I'm still a long way off skill-wise from where I want to be. I imagine the isk per hour rate could double or triple if I were chaining BS spawns, but since I only play an hour or two at a time I usually don't bother with trying that. -------------------------------------------------------------------One noob. One corp. One complete waste of 1.6 million isk.

I've also noticed that spawnrates increase when you kill everything and keep killing everything. But this only works if you hunt the same system for an extended amount of time and if there are other people hunting there aswell who are more into the whole 'chaining' thing you pretty much start from scratch every day Also this doesn't seem to be consistent. Sometimes if you keep killing everything, nothing will spawn at all for like an eternity...

Sometimes if you keep killing everything, nothing will spawn at all for like an eternity... You don't start from scratch everyday from what i've heard and seen. There seems to be some modifier or something that is increased every day or something because when we camped this system npcing all week, it would spawn this stuff right after dt. After we left it for a week, it was back to it's old usal self. Yes, you have to kill everything, even the crusier/frig spawns, and you have to do it fast. You will notice after an hour of doing this the spawns will start to increase. I find there seem to be levels. Once you kill everything and get a dread, it resets to like level 2. Spawns are a bit faster and at the end the dread is a bit better, level 3, and so on. Eventually until some officer or something spawns. The key to big ISK hunting in 0.0 is the cans. Yeah, bounties are good on BS if you can get them to appear consistently (once had 3x conquistadors spawning every ~10 mins for 3 hours in one belt, and I wasn't even trying to chain, just get out alive). Anyway... if you can manage two accounts or have a carebear friend who does not care about being bored mindless... have your hauler at a planet nearby. As soon as the last rat pops, warp in & tractor up all the loot. Hauler goes to planet, ratting ship moves to next belt. Leave nothing behind. The best sellable loot I've found comes from frigs/cruisers, ect. BS drop good refinables. Know your refining values and trash the low-yeild junk when your hauler gets full unless you have a station or POS nearby for storage. Potential income: I've made 50m easily in an hour with moderate spawns, up to 75m with heavy BS activity. I was using an armageddon, no ammo to run out of.

Edited by: Snake Jankins on 09/03/2006 21:15:57 Edited by: Snake Jankins on 09/03/2006 21:14:45 I think I make 10-12 isk per hour with bounties from angels. That's not so good, but I hope for faction loot and nice hauler spawns anyway and in case of haulers I've quite some luck. With a lot of triple spawns or commanders or officers, the income can be a lot higher for limited time, but I'd say 10 mil is for sure, except it's a really bad day. On some days nothing good spawns at all for hours and you already think about, if they have changed npc spawns during the last downtime ___________ 'Only ships can be assembled, this is a Frigate.'

this is a pretty dumb discussion! (No offence ment only my humble opinion) how much you make is entierly up to what kind of rats you hunt and the security standing ( real sec. standing) of the solarsystem! do you hunt in empire? 0.1-1.0... obviously 1.0 ratting do not pay as well as 0.1 ratting!! But a fair number atleast from my region in 0.0 are about 15-20 mill on a decent spawn. Then again...spawns is NOT alike from system to system! I once found a 0.4 system that had ALOT of Domination spawns that was throwing +2 implants with bonuses at you! made 100 million in 2 days! (2 implants in very short time 50 mill ISK each) So check around to see if there are any good spawns around! Farm em and make alot of ISK!
