I have been having a strange issue recently (~past two or three days) with open windows disappearing while I am docked.
Say, for example, that I am browsing the market while docked (in either ship hanger or captains quarters) and I make a purchase and suddenly the client goes haywire. My open windows disappear - character sheet, assets, the market window I just purchased from, even chat and station services. The EVE menu bar stays where it is supposed to, but the other windows are just gone (not minimized, just gone); I can spin my ship, but I can't do anything else.
At first I thought "Oh, great, client crash", but nope, the application appears to be running fine, and if I hit ESC the game menu will appear. Sometimes the game menu opening fixes the issue, but often times I have to quit the client and relaunch. I haven't made any hardware or software changes over the time that this has been occurring - it just started happening the other day, seemingly at random, and it has gotten even more random since then, to the point where I'm basically not able to do anything while I'm docked up.
I really don't even know where to begin in fixing this. |

I have the same issue, client windows disappearing and reappearing randomly. What helps is ALT+TAB to windows and back, but the issue returns after some time .. |

I thought that, and checked my key bindings - nope. Also, if it was the case that Hide Ui was being toggled some how, wouldn't the whole UI disappear at once, not just a few random windows in some sort of sequence? |

Same problem, except all my windows disappeared...chat included.
Done my time in null sec, now I'm just a Privateer wandering around High and Low Sec.

I've been seeing this issue as well and it getting really annoying fast. The Alt-Tab clears it up for a bit but it alwasy happens again within mins or even seconds.

exact same thing.. talking in corp and it disappears. I just wait it out. Kinda arbitrary though. This window disappears.. that one goes bye bye.. Market gone.. Inventory gone.
Then they pop back up.
If I click on them in the bar up and down the left of the screen.. one click nothing.. next click a quick flash like it appears for a nanosecond then nothing.
So it looks like it actually is there.. but for some reason 'hiding' in plain sight.
Hope the highly technical and pinpoint description above helps..

Same thing on my Eve client. When i have inventory or for an example science window open or just if i haven't
moved my mouse over the screen in 2-3 minuttes. Chat windows are gone. And the other windows also is gone.

Same thing for me, after about 15-20 mins in a station my main chat window disappears, then if i move my mouse pointer around any other window my pointer hits disapears as well like magic..
Alt-tabbing works and solves it.. but seems to greeat a massive HDD lag reloading everything or something.
It can happen out of station as well, and then you get huge HDD grinding and reloading |

Anyone try resetting the UI to fix it? You'll have to redo your window positions, etc.
esc > Reset Settings > (in the middle) Reset to Default Window Positions
or the awful & painful

Same issue. After a random period the client crashes too. Tried to run the repair tool, it crashed as well.

Same thing happening here. It's often associated at the same time with the sound (i.e., music and station effects) turning off and the client crashing. I don't seem to have any problems in space, but it seems to happen in station. |

I got my UI to stop glitching out by going into settings in the eve launcher and changing back to DX9.... Works great so far, posting this using the IGB. |

Having the same problems also, Only really noticed it since the Rubicon patch, alot of the time they either reappear themselfs or an alt-tab resolves the issue, but on the odd occassion the client locks up and i have to force close it in task manager. its rather annoying!
A fix would be nice, just glad its not just me. |

I can confirm this, after reading this i switched to DX9 also, since then no window drop outs at all. |

Hi all.
I also have been having this problem of all my neocom, chat and overview windows vanishing off the screen, If I do right click on the screen the windows re-appear.But this also happens while I am undocked as well. Not a good thing if I am in a fight or a mission.
I have only had this problem since the latest update.
Have spoken to CCP about this and they suggested the usual, new drivers, clearing out the cache files and dropping down to DX9. The first 2 did nothing, Dropping to DX9 slowed the number of occurances ,But it still happens.
I have also checked possible memory issues and overheating problems with nothing found amiss.
My system is more than capable of running EVE at the settings I use.
GTX 560 Ti with 1 GB memory.
4 GB RAM,
3ghz intel Q9650 processor.
1TB hard drive.
Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit.
Any other suggestions that have not been tried would be gratefully received.

I'm having this problem, mostly when docked but also sometimes in space on 2 different systems:
Laptop: 3610QM w/ 16GB RAM, GTX675m, Windows 7 HP 64bit, 331.65 nVidia drivers. (RealTek sound)
Desktop: 4820K w/ 16GB RAM, GTX780, Windows 7 HP 64bit, 331.93 nVidia drivers. (Creative X-Fi sound)
Both systems are using the DX11 renderer on 120Hz panels with adaptive vsync @ 120Hz.
So far I've tried a clean reinstall of the client (without any change) and cleared the cache (not tried long enough to know if its gone away from that). |

I concur, since Rubicon, and when on station, within minutes, all open windows close and will not reopen without Alt-tab the game.
I did not have this issue prior.
Single client
3770 cpu
dual 680gtx cards driving 3 monitors at 5760 x 1080 running 331.82 drivers
16gb Ram
Windows 7 - 64
We shouldn't have to be reverting to DX9, but will give it a try. The game is unplayable with regards to on station activities as is. |

Left the client running for a few hours today using fixed window instead of fullscreen while intermittently interacting with it and never saw more than 300-400MB VRAM use while in station and no sign of the dissapearing UI so hopefully while not ideal this is a way around the issue.
Fullscreen = 3GB VRAM used within 5 minutes and client RAM use continually climbs (though by a smaller level) and after ~15 minutes the UI starts randomly dissapearing. |

I've been getting this as well, as well as some friends... while i have not figured out the problem... everyone seems to have one thing in common... NVIDIA update, screwed everything up.... although i know this cant be the root of the problem, its the only common denominator. |

Its possible its an nVidia driver problem - the latest beta was more focused on supporting stuff like BF4 :S I'm fairly sure I was seeing it on my laptop though while using an older driver but I'm not 100% on that. |

I doubt it's the Nvidia driver, since I've had the bug without updating to the newest driver. I'm currently using 314.22. I do however believe that it's mainly tied into D11, at least I haven't had the bug since I switched back to D9, but as some have experienced problems in D9 as well, it's hard to tell the true cause. |
