((i'm posting about this because that was a nice thread to read through even if i didn't post on it. i'm trying to resurrect the good rp-ing that was going on through there. please keep your OOC crap to yourself))
So, this is basically what i gathered from the previous transmission on this topic:
1. Some disaffected people within a corporation went from pirate hunting to being ruthless killers. 2. People didn't seem to understand that they are not pirates, just killers. Pirates don't kill for fun, well maybe sometimes, they mainly kill for profit or not kill at all just ransom. These Noctis people kill for the sport of it. 3. Placid Reborn is being blamed for a few of their former corpsmates actions. Wholly unfair in my opinion. After all, shall the actions of a few dictate the actions of the many? I think not. 4. Placid Reborn has been trying to preserve their name against these attacks and has met with marginal success.
Now, from the above list i'm sure i missed several points. The transmission was very long and i do believe i feel asleep at some point. However, is my summation accurate at least to a small degree?

It is my understanding that at least one of those pilots that went rogue was the victim of either clone sabotage, or a defective clone entirely. Perhaps the strain of having your memories ripped out and transported was too much for her mind to take. Or perhaps repeated clonings just fragmented her self-identity to the point where she went sociopathic.
I don't understand the motivations of the others. I do however wish Placid Reborn all the best of success, and I believe they are already regaining control over the sector. ---

ahh, so one of the pilots that defected underwent a traumatic clone occurance? you stated that you weren't sure which one, but it leads me to wonder if it was perhaps the leader of the group that left.

We actually have no clue what exactly happened. It cannot have been something sudden, because Suuji had enough time to convince two other pilots to walk this path of slaughter with him, but to everyone in our corporation it came as quite a shock.

I can only say that I was very shocked when I was informed about my tragidy. I called Placid Reborn my home for a long time. I can only hope that people can stop pointing their fingers at the corporation because of the actions of a few persons.

First off. To all the people that matter to us we don't need to defend ourselves against assining accusations and the like. They know who we are and what our organization stands for. Placid Reborn is like any other organization in the aspect that sometimes a couple members do questionable things.
People were mad that PR pilots Suuji Praath, Aria Sky and Sicex attacked them and pod killed innocents before they packed up and left for whatever hole in the Galaxy they left for.
All I can tell them is tough. Seriously folks before now. The only people in Placid that need to worry about our presence is pirates and the like. Neutrals wave to us and usually feel a bit safer when we enter a system in large numbers.
If you fear Placid Reborn pilots will shoot you than you most be a pirate or ciminal, enough said on that subject.
Also, our allies, corporations in the now unfortunatley made public, Placid Defense Coalition hold no ill feelings towards Placid Reborn. Those that do think lowly of us have had no previous contact with us or don't realy know us well. I won't tell you what to think but I can hope that youd cool your heads and rethink your accusations since they neither hurt us nor help you get compensation for your ship losses on that unfortunate day.
Furthermore, This situation came to me as a shock. Sicex, Aria and Suuji ive flown with. I beleive they will eventually come back to the lightside of things as pointless killing of pod pilots is quite tedious and pointless. Suffico Nocitus will be dealt with harshley if they return to Placid.
I'm a person who beleives that sometimes a person has to hit rock bottom before they can be built up. I hope that Suuji, Sicex, and Aria will hit rock bottom and realize the mistakes they make are hurting themselves more than anyone.
Howevor, such acts of violence and murder are diplorable and should be dealt with harshley. They are in Amarr space or somewhere near, I was told. Amarr patriot paramilitarys will deal with them shortly.
One day they will wake up and an emense feeling of pain in there gut that some call remorse will make them think twice about there crimes. If not that than sounds of lasers, Railguns, Missiles, and Projectile weapons *****ing into there pods will. The choice is theres.

There is partial evidence indicating at least one member who left may have suffered a cloning accident in the form of sabotage...This situation is being investigated by myself at least, I do not know who else in the corporation has enough faith in those that left so suddenly to give them a second glance...I have seen this before and the sudden turn usually indicates trauma or manipulation.
I have made my intentions known and I am afraid Kaeleron getting sent to the cloner may have been during an attempt to reach out to the individual(s) and partially my fault. I never would have assumed the decent to the simplist of human behaviors would be so far...the simplist of animal can kill...Killing without purpose or regard weakens humanity.
To those that would accuse Placid Reborn of being a breeding ground for terrorists...simply wrong, what proof would you require? A former employee of the Senate Beaureu currently working with them? You have it...if we were into piracy and deviousness, I would be much more wealthy right now, I assure you... -----------------------------------------------

Have you had any conflicts with Noctis since the defection? Meaning combat engagements and the like?

Edited by: Malka Badi''a on 11/03/2006 00:00:34 Suffoco decimated a good portion of both anti-pirates and citizens within the Placid region, but made it a point to not engage Placid Reborn even if the opprotunity arose. There was a single, brief scuffle initially but no ships were ever lost and the engagements ceased. At least for Placid Reborn.
However the shaking of Placid came not from the attacks against Placid Reborn, but of their refusal to assist those screaming loud for someone to help the citizens of Placid. It was only after Suffoco pulled out of Placid, with the bodies of multiple corporations left behind, did Placid Reborn finally step forward and call it an outrage. They had months to eliminate us, but it took a publically released broadcast about the new NOCTS corporation members to get them to return to their public protection. It took the murdering of their friends and the volunteered exodus of NOCTS for PR to wake from their hibernation.
They do not care for Placid or her people, just of their own reputation. --------------

Why would Noctis refuse to fight PR in space? That doesn't make much sense to me.

Mebrithiel Ju'wien, it is again an honor to see you on the public comlink. We've relocated our efforts, for now, into the assisting one of your larger goals mentioned earlier in a private comlink. Let us know if further assistance is needed for your actions. --------------
