You do understand, that it can be your OWN bank as well, who causes extra delay?

can anyone shed anylight other than "dont use paybycash" or "dont use paypal"?
yeah, i've read a few blogs and forums lately discussing a problem with paypal. apparently, paypal changed their user policies or EULA or something, and now paybycash has refused to used paypal until they can change their own policies to reflect paypals. may be weeks, months or never before paybycash gets their rear in gear and works it out.
most people are saying its paypals fault. sorry, thats not correct. paypal had given months of warning before hand while the company was changing hands that their policies might change. did paybycash do anything during that time?
who knows? i certainly don't.

i contacted my bank, they said to contact paybycash, as the problem was on PBC's end. i wrote several emails and got nothing but "thank you for your business, email us at any time for customer service" and "we don't have that payment!!!". seems like they just don't care, or lost the payment.
funny thing is, i have bank records online that show exactly where the money went, and at what time. as soon as it was deposited by pbc, it suddenly disappeared, and they seem indifferent about it at pbc customer service.
-i am a man of few words... thank you, and good night.-

Personal experience:
I used PBC for close to 3 years and never had any problem with them. I paid via Western Union and it usually didn't take more than a few days to process.
I recently got a CC because I can afford to these days. They provide a good service as far as i'm concerned.

Edited by: Flourite on 10/03/2006 17:35:17 I use Paybycash and select the paypal option, and having a premiere paypal account, i can log back in soon as i click pay, which is good on the subscription day as i dont get any downtime wating for payments to go throught.
EDIT :
Please think about taking Switch, as its a good alternative in the UK for alot of people who dont/carnt get a Credit card.

I used them to pay for another game and I had a horrible time. I had a question about my payment taking so long and the biggest ******* in the world responded to me. He actually had the balls to start an arguement with me for asking how long my payment would take, and he even threatened that they would "lose" my payment if my "attitude" didn't improve.

luckely for me, the guys gave me 5 days extended trail on there own initiativ untill Pay by Cash delivered... after that, Credit Card ftw.

They charge more than credit or debit company does for using their cash transfere services consquently only big names will accept the admin costs of using such a service.

Edited by: Fenris Wolf on 10/03/2006 18:31:19 been using paybycash since july '03, only delays I've run into in that time have had to do with the reference number. I remember it took somewhere around a week once.
Since figured out how to have the wire-transfer confirmation emailed to paybycash by the bank it's taken much less time then before.
Works for me
edit: much less as in a day or two tops

yeah, i guess its nothing to worry about. but still, money is money. if you go and buy a couple of meals at mcDonalds, some would say thats a waste of money, but hey, at least you know where that money went.

Edited by: Endakar on 10/03/2006 19:33:08 in the end, people will be people.
(below is just a possible reality folks, not "reality") course pbc probably doesn't even know this is going on, its probably the people working for them, purposefully losing payments and pocketing them and then hoping they get away with it and in the end, pbc is just told its a bug that is still not fixed in some of the bank servers and they believe it cuz a few payments going missing isn't a huge loss to them when they have hundreds of thousands of customers to deal with.
-people take this game way too seriously sometimes-

I currently use Splashplastic and PBC. I've had a few niggling little late and lost payments, but they appear as if by magic once ive emailed them once to say its been a day and then again to send the reciept info that they always ask for.
Ive suffered worse before so its bareable.
It's not enough that we do our best; sometimes we have to do what's required. |
