It seems I'm usually fighting Guristas pirates as well. I can use T2 Hams and heavies as well as tech 2 shield modules. I have caldari offensive 5, others at 4. My current theoretical set-up is: [High-Slots] 8x HAM launcher II [Med-Slots] Gistum C-Type Med Booster Caldari Navy Boost Amp Thermic Diss Field II Kinetic Deflection Field II 10MN Afterburner II Phased weapon nav array gen I [Low-Slots] 1x BCU II 3x Cal Navy BCU Rigs Med Warhead Flare Cat I Med Warhead Rigor Cat I Med bay Loading Acc I Subsystems Acc Eject bay fuel catalyst dissolution sequencer aug cap reseviour amp node I get 873 DPS with 656 DPS against Guristas and can move at 526 m/s with the afterburner. The potential issue is that the cap only lasts 2m 57 seconds and the missile range is 22km. Thoughts and suggestions on a tengu fit or this one?

Alternatively, some sites like battleclinic got very decent pve-fits (buried below horrid ones though), just don't blindly take one of the poorly rated ones ;) Edit: Example-Tengu "I honestly thought I was in lowsec"

I was wondering if that fitting would work with it's short capacitor ability and short missile range and if others had ideas on their own. I appreciate the suggestion though.

I'll have to skill up another week or so in order to fully take advantage of the fit but with that setup i get HAM's at 30km and about 650 m/s speed at 1014 DPS (at all level V)

You really want more range rigs and definitely T2 them. Also T3s are up for a rebalance and signs point to the Tengu offensive sub getting a nerf, so you might find your ship severely gimped in the near-ish future.

I don't recall the specifics anymore but dps went down but your sig didn't get blown up using some of the T2 missiles which meant more speed tank. Don't bother using HAMs for lv4's the range is crap. Just use a T2 bay loading accelerator and 2x t1 flares, a normal t1 bay loading accel does almost nothing due to stacking penalties. HAM's are bad because you waste time (and thus dps) getting into range to use them. Swap resist amps to what your fighting against, could also combine it with core augmentation 1 &2 and other implants so you easily fit hardeners or 1-2 more caldair BCU's. Welcome to Eve.
