Sometimes agents will offer you something in exchange for a stack of them. I had an agent offer me a Tristan recently for some, which came in handy when I flew into a gatecamp about an hour later...

Certain agent offers (rewards for doing agent missions, in case you haven't had any yet) sometimes require those tags.
Some of them are useful in the game, too. The Guristas Palladium tag, for example, opens the gate to the bonus level of the Guristas Extravaganza mission.

If an agent offers you something, is there any downside to denying it if you don't want that offer's reward?
And if you do deny it, will another new offer come sooner then?

Concord will also buy pirate tags - Angel, Gurista etc, not ones from other empire ships you have killed like Gallente midshipman etc...
If you dont want to keep them, i'd say find your closest DED station and sell them, they wont make you rich, but isk is isk!

Nope, feel free to turn it down if you don't like. No negative effects.

You won't get another offer until you do another mission for that agent.

Can you give us an approximation of their value to concord?
Are DED stations common?

I know the Crystal tags off the battleships used to be worth around 500k
So i am guessing the brass ones aren't worth much at all maybe 500 isk each(?!), unless you collect quite a pile of them.
As for DED stations, best way to find one is to: 1. Go to your people and places, type DED and run a corporation search, this should bring up a couple of hits, 2. The one you want is the plain old "DED", 3. Right click - show info, 4. Then "settled" and look for the station in the region/system closest to you!

500ISK? Thats it? Yeesh...
I can make at least that much just by reprocessing them.

Indeed, you can.
There is no point trying to sell the more common ones, as they are worth little, might as well reprocess them all though really, you aren't going to be making loads of money of tags anyway, unless you find some bigger ones like those that drop from BS spawns.
