I just scimmed through the current patchlog, http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=23069 and couldn't find anything about fixing them there. Anyone able to verify that they're fixed on Chaos?

I believe one of the devs said in CSM that it was a simple scre-up that they didn't get classed as secure items and it would be fixed in the next patch.

I have tested it myself on Chaos already two weeks ago and it was already fixed. You can also asign names to containers in space.

Oh, two minutes ago Traveler posted the patch-log for 1199 for Chaos and now everything is different:
