How I imagine a titan jumping....
1. A large bubble appears around the vessel 2. Bubble activation cost is relative to amount of total subcap mass surrounding the vessel and within it 3. Every subcap vessel gets a massive force vector towards the titan 4. Titan disappears and leaves a "rift" for 10sec 5. Any vessel within 3 km of the rift jumps to the titan 6. The rift closes and the force vector disappears 7. On the other side the titan drops in first 8. Sub capitals will spawn near the titan 9. Subcaps acquire a massive force vectors in a random direction away from the titan 10. The end result is a Titan on grid with a scattered sub capital fleet around it
Note: A. Titan will jump friends or foes so it can be used offensively and defensively B. Titan will not pull ships into its rift if they are under the protection of a POS's shields |

This would basically deny titan bridging to anyone who doesn't think they can win the ensuing brawl to save the Titan. While I do sympathize with the feeling that the current bridge mechanic is too little risk for the strategic benefit it provides, this proposal would basically remove titan bridging from the game unless your Goons, PL or NC. All the smaller entities with titans for bridging would now find them useless due to the unreasonable risk. That is taking things in the wrong direction.
What you need is something that would put the bridging titan at some risk, but not so much risk that everyone just stops using them. Perhaps making them be outside of POS shields when bridging, sure most would make it back in if dropped on, but every so often someone will get caught, as opposed to now, where the only risk is moving the titan in the first place or that it fail jumps. |

this would end up the current "i win" button that is a cyno with a full fleet waiting on a titan.
you impact a fight, you should be on field, not negotiable.
will it hurt small entity more than the big, yes, but that is true whatever change you do, because a bigger entity will always have more man power / isk to overcome it.
actually a titan is most of the time nothing more than a pos module worth 100B

I dunno about the subcaps scattering when they land, but +1 for titans being forced to either jump through their own bridge or not use one at all. Being able to have a network of logged-off titans whose sole purpose is to act as a rapid-deployment network of jump bridges shows that it's time for the low-risk power projection to end. |
