I bought a eve^2 account and its useless,when I try to create a character I get disconnected either after choosing the new bloodline, or entering a name on the other bloodlines.
any help would be appreciated

I'm having the same problem. After entering the new character's name and hitting the next button (Step 4 of 10) the screen locks up after the loading bar displays. I tried it on two different computers with the same result.

I've just submitted to cusstumer support, and hope that tech support can figure out wtf is wrong.

I contacted customer support also. I was told my video drivers were old and needed to be updated. I down loaded new drivers for both computers and guess what. The problem is still there.
It's not the drivers. It the so called Tech support that doesn't know what they are talking about that is the problem.

i've tried everything possible on my end, even did a reinstall of part of my OS(virtual dos wasn't working, and i wantted to play some old-school games)

ok guys i know how to fix your problem. i couldnt create a character either. but i finally did and im able to get on to tell you how to fix it^_^. ok, this sounds like it wont help but it worked for me. go to C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\bin, and use the EXEFILE in there. brings up a command prompt box. just login and create a character. i figure its like jumpstarting the game or something but it worked for me. it kept hanging on creation at step 4 for me too. hope this helps GL.

I myself have tried the above option, that does not seem to work. I get up to the part where you pick your name, pick next arrow, load bar fills up. Screen comes back with the character selection screen underneath the pick name screen. Pick the next arrow again, load bar fills up, then just stops after it fills all the way up.

I have found that if during character creation you chose custom for career, there will be no problems making a character

I did this, but it doesn't give me a custom options. It will just create the character after step 4, I don't get to steps 5-10. Anyone else experienced this?
