Heyo! Was just wondering if I could help with one of my questions about my machariel. Before I took a break from eve my mach was doing over 1k dps with drones and guns but having come back to eve and building a new one mines dps is around 880. Did 800mm's get a nerf or something, or any ideas why I would be getting less dps with very similar fits to fits on BC that claim to have aroudn 1.3k dps?

The fits that go 1300dps before implants have 4 bouncers out and a drone damage amp. It is surprisingly viable since you cycle guns on small stuff and they die regardless of falloff, after which you start working on BS rats with both sentries and guns. Stationary gets to shoot with very little transversal.
Of course you can speed around but when you fly mach for a bit you quickly realize how nice the sentry station setup is, even with autocannons.

No sentries no implants: 1076 with RF ammo (you shouldn't be using barrage because MWD Mach can close distance at 1.5km/s)
No sentries w/implants: 1189
Sentries no implants: 1316
Sentries and implants: 1429
Heavies + Implants + Hail (max dps): 1580 |

strange, i have over 1k dps with non-faction ammo w/o drones on my Machariel. Doesnt matter if i include reload time or not - its still over 1k.

The Mach spits out so much ammo that in some missions the amount of extra isk you get in bounties/lp from completing missions faster won't cover the extra cost of using faction ammo. However that's usually from shorter missions, longer missions tend to be worth it. |

You could switch to rat specific T2 hardeners and spend rest of your life shooting faction ammo, just saying. |

1. I find 1 bil hull with 1 bil in mods reasonable fit.
2. This thread is about dps on a mach. I proved my point that it has 1k dps with t1 ammo and without drones.
3. You are welcome to come at me anytime. Eve in highsec lacks thrill anyway.
