I got a mining laser upgrade. Maybe I will mine. Maybe the upgrade lets me mine a bit faster to put an atron in build quicker. That atron then comes out the oven just in time for a hostile fleet to fly through. I jump into that atron and The FC is tackled by that atron and dies so the fleet doesn't reach it's objective. So the war is lost...
That mining laser upgrade changed the universe.
Not so crap now is it.

Personally I love the yule lads bits and I couldnt care less that the presents aren't worth much isk wise, but I do think they're mighty un-original and boring compared to years past. Some neat bits of fluff, even if totally useless lore stuff would have been better (for my anyway). I think I'm mostly dissapointed by the giant gap between how much effort they put into the whole yule lads bit and the clear lack thereof in the selection of the gifts so far. |

Did you even read/listen to the yule lads video? They are not Santa clause and they cause mischief. They leave candies in shoes... they don;t leave huge gifts. I honestly have no idea why you would expect 13 days of awesome gifts, as if you paid attention, that's not what they are. But supposedly, there is suppose to be a ship or something on the 24th, so we will see tomorrow. |

I don't expect good gifts. But this just seems like someone ran a RNG on the eve item database. Its boring and uninspired. CCP is usually a lot more original than this. Give us a different vegetable every day and it'd be funnier. |

give us all 91 varieties of potato, one on the first day, 2 on the 2nd, and so on, with a giant potato on christmas morning.
that, or give us an ingame icelandic dish every day, just so someday down the road we can link it to newbies and eb like "would you eat this" and theyd be like "no, thats dumb no one eats that, why would they even have that in the game" and wed be like "its traditional icelandic food brohoho" and thedyd be all like "bullshit" and wed be all like "yeah-huh" and wed link them the video from PLEX for good and the old video talking about the food and alcohol, and it would be fun, the newbies would eb grossed out, and we could all enjoy stories over fermented shark. |

hmmm... the probe launcher was useful enough for me, maybe stick it on another explore frig sometime. Dropped the cloak on my cargo ship, thought why not. Dress fetched instant money, faster than you can say easy access. Contracted the snowballs, quick mil. Shuttle got me from point a to point b moving one of my fleets to a new station. Maybe tomorrow we will all get free dreadnaughts!!

The problem is that CCP spoiled the little entitled brats the last few years with rather nice Christmas gifts, now all they want is more more more. So instead of "Thank you for this CCP, You didn't have to!" its "Gimme gimme gimme waaa waaaa waaa gimme gimme gimme waaa waaaa wants more betterstuffs because reasons waaaaaaa"
Its time to just be thankful for what you got, because if I was in charge of Christmas Gifts, everyone who started threads like this would be docked SP and remaps.
