I have a character that is over two years old and has primarily been doing Hi-sec stuff.
I'm starting to really get bored of Hi-sec and Eve. I figure one way to have fun again is
do something I have never done, like get involved into Null-Sec. I don't know much about
Null-sec politics other than goons are asshats that you have to pay to get into. So my question
is what is the most easily accessible Null-sec alliance that doesn't require me to jump a thousand
hoops to join? My characters primary skills are Amarr/Gallente.
I already did a forum search, it yielded nothing of value.

well from one ass end of the universe to the other ass end of the universe it's 75 "hops" or jumps. So anywhere in eve fits your requirement. |

Most group have members that take in fresh guys from Highsec, you just need to look around.
The best way, would be to watch the guys who post on the forums, spot groups you find funny, or have an attitude similar to your own. Then look them up; if they don't accept new guys (a lot of places are referral only), find out who they are friends with, since you can expect them to have a similar attitude or ethos. After a bit of hunting around (something as simple as checking out the verite map and seeing who their neighbours are), you should be easily able to find a group closely aligned to your intrests that would be willing to give you a shot. |

There are plenty organisations recruiting, both within the CFC bloc and the N3 bloc, that do not require the same hoop-jumping as joining the SA forums. The problem you may have is not the lack of options, but the number of different and contradictory options?
If you want the 0.0 experience without all the bloc politics, you might want to look into the CVA guys (Provibloc). AFAIK they are more accepting to newcomers as long as you're actually a decent person. Then there are a number of alliances and corps who are rather new and thus also welcoming of new people (Either accounts or to the 0.0 environment), and somewhat ready to shoulder the learning cliff.
"Newbie friendly" is, just to make sure you know, a double edged sword. Some organisations are actually newbie friendly - with good tutor programmes and everything. Other organisations are more akin to the blind leading the oblivious over a nearby cliff and then into Mount Doom.
What I suggest is, really, to find a few Provibloc corps and hang out in their public channels, talk with their members and their recruiters, see what they offer, what they do, their policies and general "atmosphere". You can also do it with some of the lesser CFC or N3 entities (I'd suggest looking to N3, naturally, since CFC are the literal devils literally eating figurative babies), from the rationale that these organisations are newer or smaller and are more accomodating to less experienced members. You can of course also check up on NPC 0.0 organisations. It's a much different world, but you might still like it.
Best of luck in your search. Don't settle for the lesser evil. |

I'm actually looking for a larger alliance due to the fact that I can't be on all the time.
With a larger alliance I feel I can be more helpful and have more fun. Seems like with
a smaller alliance you are more obligated to be on call so to speak.
I guess what I am looking for is a large alliance that is noob friendly to null. I've been
playing a couple years and understand the dynamics of Eve and PVP since I've done a lot
of FW. Super cali hella yolo swaga dopeness. -á-Yoloswaggins, in the fellowship of the bling. |

The fastest way to get involved is to just pay the 500,000,000 ISK Recruitment Fee to join the Goons.

I joined null when I was about 2 months old and live there for my first 2-3 years in EVE. Not sure if changed now, but as far as I know null sec groups are generally noob friendly; I think concerns toward newcomer are more related to spies infiltrations and such than to skill requirement: even only for a supplemental point or web, nobody dislike to have one more :)

A large alliance will expect more from you. More skill points. More isk invested in different doctrine ships. And they will require ALL of your time. You are incorrect in assuming that small alliances are constantly in CTA's. That is a sign of a dying/fail-cascading alliance and has nothing to do with size. Large alliances however are at war 24/7. If you don't participate you will be kicked, because there is no shortage of people willing to fly with them.
Anyway you sound like a spy trying to get in somewhere relevant. |

I always:
Jump first (even when not asked, I figure we were going there anyway) Orbit the enemy FC (they are so much easier to identify) Shoot friendlies (the names always sound more familiar) Rep the enemy (those guys give such gudfites!)
So.... am I in? |

Any of the Syndicate or Curse based NPC nullsec groups would be a good place to get involved. No sov and not much in the way of torchable assets, so less imperative to show up for every fight, small-medium scale fights than the megabloc fleet clashes.
Provibloc as others have mentioned might be an option too. Post on the Eve-o forums with a Goonswarm Federation character that drinking bleach is bad for you, and 20 forum warriors will hospitalise themselves trying to prove you wrong. |
