Okay, I start up EVE, log in, then go to the character selection screen. Everything is fine until I select my character and enter into the game. Then, when the loading bar disappears, my screens just blinks at me several times before I hear "My name is Ora, I am your ship's computer" or something like that (I just registered for the trial, obviously). I can see my mouse, but that is it.
I have tried the temporary fix thread for this, downloaded the resface.stuff file and replaced it with the old one, then got the omegadrivers.net driver for Radeon. Yes, the graphics are sharper, but too bad I can't see them still. I have tried many things like taking the old file out of the folder completely, renaming it to other things, switching them back and forth, reinstalling the game, etc. I am in need of desperate help, and damn, it would be nice if I could get that day back I spent trying to get this game working.
Help is much appreciated.

That's sounds a lot like the VPU crash I was getting not long ago, the screen would blink 3 times (3 VPU crashes) then the video drivers would switch to software rendering mode and only the screen cursors would work (sound, game logic and everything would still work). What motherboard/video card are you using? |

RADEON 9000/9100 PRO IGP Series (Omega 3.8.221) This is built in.
As for the motherboard... I'd have to turn off my computer to look at it.

try turning down the graphics in eve. Its just a guess, but it seems like the gfx may be too high.

Edited by: Ishmael D''ren on 13/03/2006 04:15:02 I had this problem with a Radeon 9600 Pro about 6 months ago. I unloaded the Standard ATI drivers and installed Radeon Omega SoftMod drivers Clicky.
Haven't had a video problem of any significance since I started using them
