Hi,
Question: Is it possible, with command center skill at 4, to set up a colony in 1 planet ( example Plasma ) and have enough PG and CPU to create a colony and make robotics...from just that planet itself? can someone sort of illustrate me how? i seem to run out of PG as soon as i put the extrators and first basic factories....

Yes it's possible to set up a few chains on one planet, but it's hardly optimal and will make you far less than just pumping out the raw material.
Generally for a 5 planet robotics chain you want 4 of those planets collecting raw materials and manufacturing the first level, which you then transport to your refining planet to turn into the P3 goods, which can then be looped into a smaller loop creating the final P4 goods. |

Under the old system it was possible but inefficient. The advanced factory only ran 1/2 the time. With the new system the only way I can see it working is if you only have 2 extractors strategically placed to be able to alternate between extracting 2 different compounds.
With that being said, you are probably better off making robotics with 2 planets. 1 making mechanical parts and one making consumer electronics. You then export one to the other planet. Or to a 3rd planet that just manufactures higher tiered products from all your other planets.
Either way it'll be a pain.

damn it...of course it should be under that section! my bad
Anyway back on topic, lets say that i have the 2 planets i need to get those 2 tier 2 products...when you say export 1 of them to the other planet...you mean...i have to haul from 1 custom office to the other manually right?
Still too new to all this, wanted to try it since i can create robotics in the system i live in null. |
