You fly in one of those All Frigate Corps? Know someone who does? Or you just fly in an advanced fighting frigate?
Whats your load out? I'm doing research on advanced frigate setups on an info page for a EVE site. Basicly trying to demonstrate that frigates can be used effectively.
Anyone with any info on equipment that works effectively on them, how to make the fastest attack frigate, how to even put out decent damage to AT LEAST take out a high end cruiser & how many frigates with this kind of setup would take to kill it.
I like new people to not think so narrow minded that frigates are just starter ships.

I think that the minmatar ships af the possibility of being the fastest frigates.
If I can make EvE work on my laptop then I will maybe start my own frigate flying corp who can be hired as mercinaries. Of course that would need a lot of ppl __________ Capacitor research |

Edited by: Valeria on 08/09/2003 16:15:09 There is an elite Caldari frigate with 6 medium slots.
I had a Merlin with two 150mm Prototypes, Arbalest launchers with heavy missiles, two Power Diag's 1, 1 LiF booster, 1 small C5-L and one Optical Tracking computer. It kicked ass, but unfortunately I lent it out to a corpmate who immidietly proceeded to get blown up by CONCORD.
Your 425mm Prototype I Gauss Gun perfectly strikes some nublar, wrecking for 1155.0 damage. |

Which one is that? And is that one of those unseen ones? The "SOON TO BE ANNOUNCED" ships?

Don't remember the name, check the TTI Nexus for it. And no, it is is yet to be introduced together with the other elite frigates.

Not to be EVE racist or anything, but I never did like Minmatar anything. People are cool with me, but all the ships are to ghetto looking and I've never been partial to projectiles.
Though any info is appreciated on setup on any frigates. I'm looking at Caldari frigates the most, they have more interesting possibilitys. I did own a Tristan once which was decent for a frigate.

I think that the cheetah might be a bit faster because it has base max velocity 350m/s and gets a bonus for each skill level (minmatar frigate) and has 5 med slots

merlin is a good combat caldari frigate has 433 setup i think. 2 turrets and 2 launchers. I usually take one 150mm and one 125mm with me and medium and low slot depend of course on what you are going to be doing __________ Capacitor research |

Edited by: Kardim on 08/09/2003 18:59:00 2 medium modulated beams, small clarity booster, 2 power diag 1's and whatever on the last low slot that floats your boat that doesnt need power... nano adaptive armor, overdrive injector, nanofiber etc... i have often fought 20k pirates in this setup and if done carfully am barely damaged the only threat to this setup are missle throwers. edit: forgot to tell you ship name executioner (:

Kestrel pwnz j00 f00lz.
1 paradise, 1 devastator, all it takes to bring down even the best equipped frigates under 35km.
Kestrel has 4 launchers.. thats uhm, lets see, TWO frigates in the first volley :) _____________________________________ Perpetually driven, your end is our beginning. "Can I be a consultant for EVE II?" - WhiteDwarf |

Last time i looked the tti-nexus was a bit out of date(have not cheched it in the last two weeks though). There are far more elite frigates listed in the eve-db. If you search using "frigate" as a search term in the eve-db you will find 8 Light combat frigates, 10 heavy combat frigates, 8 E-war frigates and 4 indudtrial frigates. A lot of the values on the industrial and heavy frigates seem to be placeholders until they get some tweaking. ----------------------------------------- If it moves, shoot it. If it doesn't move, shoot it, it might move later. |

Considering you can't fire a torpedo from a frigate anymore don't think that's an issue. However cruise missles or even a team with mixed hvy missles in Kestrels could be very devastating.

Cruise missiles have pretty good agility, so that shouldn't be a problem, even to MWD equipped frigates. The only limitation is warp scrambler range, otherwise the Kestrel could easily have an effective range of 189km with 3 sensor booster I's
