Media Information
Lady Takumi Vetinari PIE Inc CEO has today announced that PIE Inc will be holding a vigil for the Emperor at the Emperor Station in the Amarr system on Thursday at 19.00 hours.
PIE Inc are inviting all Amarrian pilots to join the ceremony to demonstrate their loyalty and respect for the Emperor by their mere attendance.
Lady Vetinari said, "We are concerned that the Emperor has had to cancel recent public engagements. We assume that he is simply suffering from a flu or some such minor illness. We are therefore gathering in Amarr on Thursday to pay our respects and wish the Emperor a speedy recovery. We are sure that a show of public adoration will cheer the Emperor and assist his recovery from whatever ails him."

Miso sombre dress would suit the occasion. We are here to honour the Emperor - not blind people with garish Gallente fashions.
It will be nice to meet you finally. I have to admit I have had a soft spot in my cold Amarr heart for you ever since you promised to 'pee on my frozen corpse'.
I am sure the massed ranks of loyal Amarr pilots come pay tribute at the Emperor's Statue will be fine sight for a Gallente, such as yourself, to behold!

I am certain that the most Holy Emperor will be pleased to witness the assemblage of Gallente and Caldari vessels during this homage. He will most likely be tickled to see the honorable Minmattar Corp., Oracle, prominently flying these Gallente ships.
Should the "uplifting" of the Minmattar people ever reach completion, perhaps they could design for themselves adequate vessels.

I find it absolutely HILARIOUS that Amarr make fun of Minmatar ships, yet lose SO often to them. Your ship engineering is better, but what does that say for your pilots when they lose to a significantly inferior ship build? ------------------------------------------- If you kill them, they will die!

Hippey, I was not making fun. I have only seen you piloting Minmattar ships. And I respect you more for it. This is a role-playing forum. So only slightly OOC, why does Oracle rely so heavily upon Ships of other races? You will not see a PIE pilot flying anything except the "flying Anvils" which the devs provided us with.
What is absolutely HILARIOUS is to see your fellow Corp members complaining about being outnumbered. Outnumbering the First Praetorian Guard by 4 to 1 did not seem to keep you guys from camping our HQ and taunting our recruited noobs to come and die at your feet. Now that PIE has managed to win most of the major engagements, your members cry for equal numbers.
This type of complaining undermines the class and dignity which Oracle has previously demonstrated.
War is hell. Get used to it.

I am very much for flying only minmatar ships, but I can't force people in my tribe to fly them, nor do I want to. I have and will always be, all minmatar ships, all minmatar weapons.
Now don't be singling Oracle out as the ONLY one that's done "questionable" things. I remember with Praetorian guard, that I was stuck inside a station while 4 of YOU guys were camping out with drones deployed. But hell, I ever undocked shortly to take potshots at your drones, until you learned not to have them predeployed, then in local you were taunting ME for not coming out, and I told you straight up, that I am not an idiot, and will not come out on my own against 4 people for a straight up fight. By the time Macumba came, and then 2 of us took you 4 on.
So please, don't be questioning Oracle and their tactics when yours are no better.
As for being outnumbered, we have a legit reason. Our ships are inferior to yours. You, on the other hand, have NO reason for outnumbering us, especially with such an absurd amount as last time when you had 6 battleships and some cruisers, while we had 7 cruisers and ZERO battleships.
So yes, the only reason we DID lose that is because it was so horribly outnumbered. I remember going against a PG arbitrator, forcing it to warp out, then immediately engaging an Omen 2 seconds after and forcing HIM to warp out too.
I also remember what Acwron did to annoing 1on1 with an inferior ship. So toe-to-toe we can hold our own. WITH an inferior ship. Of course, some people are less trained.
As for our "honor" in LOCAL talk, everytime I hurl an insult, it's IC. However, ID and others would blatantly accuse us of exploiting over local and then adding "well I'm not sure on this, but.."

Good answer. It was not me sitting outside taunting you. Hell, one engagement with you was plenty for me, lol. Outnumbering your opponent is "good tactics". Fighting a suicide battle is "not real good tactics". Using exploits like parking a dozen derelicts around a gate is "real good tactics but still an exploit".
You're a good enemy. The war is fun. Hope to see you soon.

OOC If i remember rightly, acwron was flying a lvl 2 battleship and I a lvl 1. Amarr weapons are easier to defend against than any other races because our crystals are exclusively EMP/HEAT related. Nice sheild hardeners and there you go. Also, our guns use more pwr/cpu/cap than any other races. Its about time people understood for all the good things about Amarr weapons, theres more downsides to it. And Tomb in his infinate *cough* wisdom has decided to nerf lasers even more. Minmatar ships might have slower guns etc, but they use so little cap that it is far easier to run perminant sheild hardeners and sheid booster to hardly take damage. Only when Acwron got too close did he really begin to take damage as i had my ion and neutron blasters firing. He quickly moved away. Therefore Hippy I totally disagree with your arguments over Amarr weaponry, the same as I totally disagree with Tomb and his nerfing plans for lasers. Sometimnes its hard to be the superior race in eve >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Inquisition Long live the Inquisition Long live the Emperor Long live Amarr!

Continuous objections to superior numbers grow tiresome, I care not who they come from.. Please just take the punches stoically..
Indeed, although our Amarr vessels are far superior to all others, unfortunately the same can not be said for our weaponry, hence the need for hybrid weaponry (even projectile upon occasion barbaric tho such weaponry may be)
I would not be caught dead in a non-amarrian ship, unless I happened to be commandeering it from under the nose of a foul lesser human >D
So far I have seen no need to train my skill at piloting other races vessels, having focused on the most holy ship skills and complementing skills. I see little reason to do otherwise...
Getting back to the topic on hand, I shall of course be there to pray for our great emperor. And of course to protect those present from foul minmatar terrorists.

Hehe Miso - and thanks for the 'present' in Amarr tonight - long may it sit above my mantlepiece...
On a serious note I would, on behalf of PIE Inc, like to thank all the pilots - Amarrian or not - who turned up to the Emperors vigil tonight.
Yes some tried to spoil the occasion with heretical yapping in the local communication channel but most were there to pay their respects to the Emperor and truly it was a marvellous sight to behold.
I have no doubt that the Emperor was pleased by such a magnificent demonstration of devotion by over 230 pilots.
The fact that he despatched a personal message to the gathering will be greatly welcomed by all Amarrians.
Hopefully this will lay many of the more pernicious rumours to rest.

The only down side was the presence of a couple of misguided hecklers. I would urge all patriots who witnessed this unacceptable behaviour to take appropriate measures to show the perpertrators the error of their ways.
