Hey guys
Im going to visit England next month and I need a good and cheap hostel in Notthingham. Sadly I found nothing decent with goodle and other tools, so maybe some guys from Nottingham/England can help me out with a suggestion.
Anything in the area of about 15-20Ç (10-15 puounds)would be great, especially if it has bigger rooms (we are 3 guys and 1 girl).
Thx Nafri

Edited by: R31D on 13/03/2006 21:12:32 Don't the YHA (Youth Hostel Association) have a Nottingham branch? Find their website and check them out, they're normally pretty cheap
edit: from my experience the rooms normally fit 4-8 people and each hostel will normally have a minimum of one 4 person room anyways

Edited by: Yolan on 13/03/2006 21:16:48 erm if you want cheap but clean then places like travelodge and novotel chains are reasonable although even cheap accomodation is gonna be more than 10-15pounds, welcome to ripoff britain where everything requires a mortgage.
I know there are plenty of people who play eve that live in Nottingham area who may be able to help you with more specifics.
Oh and if you like rock music then check out The Old Angel pub and then if there is a decent gig Rock City afterwards

Not this time of year. I've stayed in lots of Youth hostels, outside the school vacations, and only once had to share a room with strangers.
Nottingham is brilliant to go out, btw. Lots of nightlife.

well, YHA wasnt good either. I had no problems to find decent hostels/inns in London, but Nottingham is pretty lame

A good source may be to check out student accomodation websites (Nottingham has 2 Universities), they may have links to hostels etc, as Students can only stay in student accoodation during term time for the most part, and either have to go home (to parents) or find other housing in Nottingham when Uni isn't on. ---------------------------------------- Space-Slacker |

I live in Nottingham, but because I live here, I have no idea about hotels and hostels etc. All I know is that the Holiday Inn near me is about ú60/night.
You're right about hostels and such. Other than the YMCA, I could only find one. It's a bit surprising actually. Looks like there are some cheaper hotels though - this one has rooms from ú30. Which is twice as much as you wanted to be paying.
