Edited by: Caine 607 on 14/03/2006 00:24:10 Hope someone can help, it's a simple query really.. I just want to know how I can go about manually changing a route if after scrutinising it's waypoints I discover that a particular system has been host to several recent pod-kills.
For example, If I were to set a course from A to D and find that 3 pod kills have taken place in the past hour in system C, how do I 'instruct' the map to find an alternative route from A to D but specifically avoiding C.
Thanks in advance !!

Check 'Avoid pod kills' on the autopilot?

Aaahhh.. forgive me, I'm not quite as noobified as I was 2 months ago but I still haven't quite grasped the nuinces of the map facility.
My assumption was that when the 'avoid pod-killing zones' option was selected, that simply meant any system where pod-killing wouldn't result in significant standing penalisation however, can I assume from your response that this option will simply avoid any systems that have recently witnessed a pod-kill ?

Just in case that last reply seemed like a statement, it was in actual fact a question !

Selecting the pod option would work, except that it avoids ALL pod killing systems. So it wil either give you like 4259374578 jumps, or it won't be able to go to the system at all. The best way is to set up the destination, but then set a waypoint for the alternate system. You can rearange the waypoints if it tries to goto the destination first.

Also, unless its low sec, you don't have to worry about pod kills in systems (unless your at war as well)
