They work very well.
In addition to 8+ Personal standing, the CORP your in needs an 8+ Standing.
Assuming you have this, you can PVP all you want without risking any implants. :) Just a couple well setup jump clones.

This is not entirely true, The only standing you need is +8 corp to corp standing if you never ever did a mission for the corp wich your corp has +8 standing with. Even a 1 day old noob can have jumpclones if they have trained the skill infomorph psychology (level 1 skill)and are in a corp wich has a +8 standing towards a NPC corp.
See this sales add http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=301962&page=1 or look at the sticky post in the skillforum for more information.
Cheers,

you only need the standings to create a jump clone once you have the clone you can jump to it and fly it where ever you like ... if you're in an alliance it's just a matter of creating the clones in an alliance held station and then flying them out
with a bit of patience you can have 5 jump clones around empire space should you wish to
if you're not in an alliance
there's always this:
Quote: Rebirth program The second piece of good news for shareholders in Marginis concerns the Rebirth program, which has generated additional revenue possibilities for the ISS Marginis Outpost corporation.
All corporations who have neutral or positive standings with ISS can apply for +1 standings with the Outpost corporation to make it possible to use the outpost for clone jumping. This has a one-time 25m administration fee.
The Rebirth service is meant to help local industrial corporations manage their day-to-day operations in Catch and Providence. Each application will be evaluated on a case pr. case basis with special attention to possible military abuse of jump cloning. ISS Marginis Outpost corporation reserves the right to turn down applications or cancel clone privileges without explanations.
i think the 25 million is well worth it if you have no other way to create jump clones and you have the patience to create and move them all from the ISS station

U can do it from any player ownd station and outpost aswell. if u have the +8 standings with the owner corp. so titans arent really the biggest use and will never be. btw motherships can use them aswell.

You only need the standing to make jumpclones after that you can leave your jumpclones at any station or mothership, and the station don't even have to have medical facilities. In my case i made my jumpclones in a Amarr theological council, but now i have 1 in a guardian angels station, intaki syndicate, DED station and in 1 i fly arround now. BTW a jumpclone can't die .
