Whilst tackling NPC's in 0.0 space, I noticed quite a few (4-5) players show up in local, so i immedatley warped to my safespot, just as a Guristas Demolisher locked on to me.
When I exited warp some 5.0AU's away he STILL had a lock on me and more NPC's then locked on too, all firing and HITTING me!!!
To make matters worse they had obviously webbified me so i couldn;t move even though i was 5.1 au's away. Then the players who had shoen up in local obviously warped to the same belt i was ratting in and somehow locked onto me too. I was powerless to do anything. couldnt see them, jst kept getting scrambled and blown up!
When I did get blown up i appeared inmy POD back where I was ratting....
Lost a fully loaded Cyclone :-(

Its most likely a lag issue.
Your local client thinks you've moved so shows you the graphics accordingly. Trouble is Mr server hasnt got the message yet so thinks you have blown up. It's whats on the server that counts.
I doubt you would be sucessful but nothing ventured nothing gained.

Send in the pics you took of it and yes you will get reimbursed....it happened to me a month ago and I took some pics of it and a week later I got my ship back

I suggest you submit not just a petition, but a bugreport too.
The server tells the client how far away you are, so unless you ARE 5 AU's away, the client shouldn't be saying that you're 5 AU's away.

This is a known issue and you should get your ship replaced, they fixed it once but it's crept back in again

I'm wondering if i'd just closed my client down, would I have warped to a safe spot?
