Edited by: Katana Sengoku on 14/03/2006 03:12:26 You know what would be cool? If I could declare mining onto another corp. It seems fair. You could force any corp to have to mine to survive. It would cost you only 2mil a week, possibly higher to declare on an alliance.
The idea would be exploited tho... miners would declare on pvp corps and when they went out to fight, us miners would simply mine any roid belt in a system where they had an office... as we pulled off ore, their corp wallet dropped into ours. If they shot us, it would be a sign of aggression, since its a mining dec, not a war dec... they could only survive by either surrenduring, mining back the isk from our wallet, or hiring merc mining corps to mine for them.
However, they could drop into a npc corp, since declaring on them is not allowed. I think this is a great idea... and would make miners able to force their style of gameplay onto others.... because this is PVP.

ahhh... but yes, then it would be fair... they could use their guns to fight, and we could sit at belts and take down their wallets. its perfect!

And what happens when they move all their isk out of the wallet and start storing it in a noob corp alt in case they get mining declared on them?

hmmmm... that would be a game exploit, since money hopping from corp to corp would be deemed so.
Bold boy, slap on the wrist?

It would work better like this... if the person was online, when you mined in a system they were in, THEIR own wallet would go down. But then you'd get their members hugging low sec systems so they could shoot you at the belts.
But still, fair.

But rare ores are worth more! It's risk versus reward!
This is looking like one of the most balanced fake joke ideas I've ever seen ^^;

I'd recommend against this. Ever seen a Bob mining fleet? It makes their pvp groups look small! --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |

well, there needs to be an equal fair alternative to war declarations on innocent mining corps.

oh, I totally agree with you. But this game is soley on the side of pvpers in every aspect no doubt about that, and we all know thats not going to change. I still find it funny that a corp with 2000000 pvp members can declare war, and hunt down a corp with 2 mining members anywhere in space if they so wanted to.
Eve welcome to the world of ganking.

The only factual issue here is that Combat PvP is the heterotrophs of EVE.
While miners are autotrophs.
And you know it just as well as I do

i hope you're joking. life isn't fair. the idea behind eve is to adapt or die. join or create a corp that has a security division, don't do anything to **** off a huge pvp corp, enlist the help of another corporation.
eve tries to mimic life in an SF setting. if you want things to be fair, please play a different game.
