Hi all.
I'm researching the construction of online identity for my final year project in Sociology, and to that end I've designed a survey on gender-bending. Why genderbending? I was going to study online identity as a whole, but it's an awkward topic, and well, this is an interesting way to stratify it ;). (Jinx Barker, Severe McCald - thanks for your advice and criticism in my earlier post :D)
I need a total of 30 valid responses in the survey. LINK TO THE SURVEY.All respondants will be entered in an OMGRAFFLE! for some of my modestly valuable loot, which I'll specify in a bit. I must state that I'm interested in ROLEPLAYERS ONLY. Okay? good.
I also require a few people for interviews - not more than five. Shouldn't take more than a few minutes, and I'm willing to pay (/me looks in mothballed wallet) 10m per interview.
If you're interested, evemail me USING AN ALT FOR CONFIDENTIALITY with the times you are online and available.
I haven't finished designing the interview yet, so it'll be a little while before I can respond.  Again, I'm only interested in roleplayers for the purpose of the study.
RAFFLE PRIZES
Ishkur - set for pvp.
HI:3 125II's,'Knave' small nosferatu. MED: Cold-gas arcjet ab, 7.5 scrambler, webifier.LO: Small armour repairer II, Explosive hardener I, energized reflective plating I.
Enyo - set for pve
HI: 4 t2 Neutron blasters. MED: 1mn AB II, webifier I.
LO: Mag stabiliser II, small armour repairer II, energised thermic plating, named pdu (can't remember which). It's set for Gurista ratting.
10m plus various crap Including an arabalest siege launcher (maybe 2), COSMOS named bpc's - dampeners, mag stabilisers, tracking comp.
If I find any Guristas faction loot while hunting, I'll add it to the list above - but it's unlikely. I'll also upgrade some of the ordinary mods on both ships to t2, and get some t2 drones for the ishkur. Mebbe throw in some t2 ammo for both if you all respond quickly =P.
TO ENTER THE RAFFLE: Complete the survey first, then post in this thread confirming you've done so.
The name of every character who has entered will be put in a hat (or whatever paper-holding receptacle is nearby) and drawn.
Winners will be evemailed, and can select their prize. The items will be escrowed - in the Forge region. Draw will take place as soon as I have 30 valid surveys.
I need people to respond with a main character in this thread - unfortunately, it's too easy for people to abuse my trust with alts otherwise. So, whaddaya waiting for?

Done , i hope you can use some information about a non-genderbending guy aswell since otherwise the results would show that there are far to many genderbending people in contrast to the non-genderbending ones

well, I asked people to state their total number of characters, number of roleplaying characters, and then genderbending characters - in the hope of preventing the statistics from becoming too skewed.
The emphasis is on roleplay genderbending because that's the purpose of my study - the 'why' behind it. I chose to recruit roleplayers in general for the sake of validity - there's no point in getting the opinion of 30 people who genderbend in EVE, if they're unrepresentative of the community as a whole. 
I almost have enough responses - had to raise the necessary amount because there have been quite a few people who have left some sections blank. I'll raffle off the loot soon, probably before Saturday.
Interviews...eh, next week...I need to consult meh boss (lecturer) on the questions and format.

BTW : u can sell the main char/alt info for quite some isk to wartargets etc ... i imagine :D

Okies...I'm really sorry to have to dump this on everyone, but I NEED MORE HELP!!11. Looking over the results so far, hindsight kicked in. There are some flaws I need to address with the survey. Soo, I've put together an errata. ITS JUST ONE QUESTION, HONEST.
The purpose of it is to address some problems - namely the lack of a section entitled 'why do you not gender-bend' (or something to that effect) to counterbalance the section on genderbending.
The responses in the identity + genderbending section met with a lot of disagreement for the most part - it's possible I simply didn't give people enough options.
I've put in 4 single open-ended questions, of which one needs to be answered. That's all. Honest.
oh yeah: STILL LOOKING FOR A FEW MORE ROLEPLAYERS to INTERVIEW. EVEMAIL MEH. Ideally, 2 or 3 who don't use genderbending chars, and the same amount who do. 10m per interviewm, shouldn't take more than a few minutes.

hm. While I'm here I may as well do the raffle. A total of 49 people have responded. The names of those who have made themselves known in this thread were scribbled onto a sheet of foolscap paper.
The names were then cut into equal sized scraps of paper, which in turn were put into the nearest receptacle (which in this case was a small steel jug) and shaken vigorously.
The first three names to be drawn were...
Winner of the Ishkur - Laocoon! (You jammy bugger, lucky I didn't do the draw this morning!)
Winner of the Enyo - Lunaticdie04!(it's in Jita atm. No, I don't know how it got there. /me laughs evilly.)
