The Eris of course. Silly question.
(oh, and it's actually red, not pink once you see it in space. Whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you ;) ) -------------------------------------------------- Loyalty, Integrity, Honour. |

I havn't flown any yet, but they look nice so far.
Flycatcher has 5 meds so you can have alot of fun doing ew stuff. Heretic could be fun with a pulse/nos setup Eris i'd use with rails and lights most likly, maybe blasters and rockets.

Edited by: Cuebick on 14/03/2006 18:04:37 Just fit the sphere launcher.. a ceptor can kill you with ease. Interdictors should only be used for gangs not solo.
I'd choose the Flycatcher 5med ____________________________________

I'd propose minmatar (pure arti) or caldari (pure missiles) ones. Second one is really good especially with precission lights.
If you need this ship mainly for bubble deployment - any one will do.
And one more thing... use them as supposed: spheres + anti light ship role. They are only 20% more durable than destroyers - so can die even to AFs, not even mentioning cruisers...

flycatcher can have a 6 T2 standart + bubble setup.
you just need to work a bit in the meds/lows. ----------------

Edited by: MOS DEF on 14/03/2006 18:47:47 I got very much experience with the heretic by now and would vote for it any day. Why? 3 low slots. No i don't tank hat ship. No point - even the dumbest noob can hit you hard. Nanofibers are lifesafers on an interdictor though. With my heretic i warp off gates without getting cought by interceptors. You cannot do that in a dictor without nanos. Flycatcher is caldari and doomed the moment you uncloak.
For pure gang combat any of the ditors willdo a great job but a heretic + nanos + tech 2 MWD manages to stay alive easier then a flycatcher that warps like a battlecruiser. ;)

No love for Sabre? I think it's the best balanced of them all (slot layout and PG/CPU).

The Heretic is the absolute best looking ship in the game. Aside from that, it is a very balanced ship. 3 lows,3mids. Plenty of room for everything you need to fit there. Did I mention it looks cool

be careful of Shin Ra's Heretic all right. The crafty bugger has put a cloak on it - which is actually a brilliant idea because you don't need a lock in order to drop a bubble. Makes for a devastating tackler. -------------------------------------------------- Loyalty, Integrity, Honour. |

You still have to get 2km away from the bubble to cloak (last I checked) Signature filesize exceeds max limit of 24000 bytes. Mail us if you have questions -Eldo Davip New sig coming soonÖ

The Heretic is a beauty. I push it to over 4700 m/sec MWD'ing, has over 2000 hp and still gets fitted with everything needed to fulfill its role: has the required firepower to pwn ceptors, and can fly 160 m/sec cloaked.
There are only two drawbacks. I can only hold 20 spheres in my cargo, and my signature whith MWD on is... 684 m :(

Lofty, much safer if you camp a gate/station cloaked, and wait for your target - they can't see you coming that way.
A lot less ZOMG though. ;) -------------------------------------------------- Loyalty, Integrity, Honour. |

Can the other interdictors stand up to the Sabre at all? And has anybody tried them in a more combat roll (not for spheres). Do they perfom well at all intercepting as standard ceptors do?

IMO they are too expensive and have too weak durability to stand up to normal combat roles. As secondary damage dealer in gangs they are OK (increasing overall DPS), but i would never try them as primary damage dealers. This is the place for AFs i think.

Stay at somewhere between 2km and jump range from gate (cloaked) Enemy fleet jumps in Drop bubble, jump out Enemy fleet can't warp out for 4minutes (or atleast when they get near the gate) You know what your fleet will do, don't you ? _____________________________ They say that when the Greeks were creating civilization, the others were living in caves. I've been using a cloak on my Eris since I got it, on my 'chicken' setup. Also have a more agressive setup in another place. It works great, but the thing you just posted wouldnt work. You can't cloak on top of a bubble. You can however stay cloaked so they don't know whats there, uncloak and bubble. Cept you have to do this before they even TRY to warp. It's got it's uses, but most of the time the cloak wont really help ya. I once found a <censored by author> safespot when they all logged out, and camped my dictor cloaked there waiting for them to log back in, woulda worked great since once their small ships logged on and saw nothing there, and the BSs logged back in, i'd decloak, hit warp, hit bubble, and the rest of the fleet would come in and pwn em. Unfortunately, I couldn't wait more than 3 hours, and they're very good at staying logged out (I think they have it trained to 5). :P

Lame! Stay on the gate!
Who wants to snipe people in a bubble when you can sit in it and web them too? o_0 If theyre reeeeeally lucky, you might even lose a ship on your side, omgno!
You should all be making statues of Oveur and worshipping them for giving us interdictors; the 8 wcs counter is here! People might actually have to fit for pure combat, dear god no they might win!

If you use it like a normal tackler yes. You have to sit back and accept you can rarely shoot anything, just drop bubble and run. Its a total group thing. For solo they such, although they are great for bumping people.

The Eris is a bit short on grid if you try to fit a full rack of rails & standard launchers. You can't really tank it that well for all four resistances either, so as everyone has already said, it's not a very good ship as pvp damage dealer. An Enyo is much better at that job.
Rich carebears only: With plenty of speed, 400 cargo space and 4 low slots for nanos, it makes a nice little empire runabout.

Pick the one to suit your combat style, without a sphere its an expencive destroyer and not much else.
Make sure you're in a gang, dont be the largest target, and watch the utter surprise when you drop a bubble on someones head. Got too many targets but not enough points? Bubbles, thxggnore
