How do you work for them? Their systems are unreachable (to me). Is there something I have to do to be able to get there or is this game content not available yet?

No-one can get to the Jove, they are a Dev race and used in events only atm. There is talk that one day their space may be opened, but its known for various reasons that were fixed, that there is currently nothing there, or at least nothing particularly interesting.

If you read "Theodicy" you get some hints why they closed off their space. ----------------------------------------------- My Band's new Demo: Linkage to Torrent |

Seeing as how a single Jove Frigate can decimate entire fleets of ships without barely a scratch, I'm relieved that Jove space is closed off :P

I'm sorry but I get confused. Only about 6 days of play time, I have limited knowledge about the story line. I have read a few stories and I get confused about whether these stories are telling events that happened between real players, or events that were created by CCP. So... Did people actually go out there and try to PvP the Jovians and all die, thus creating a glorious story such as the one above? Or is this mere storyline that will somehow direct the movements of the forces in EVE in later events? I guess what I'm asking is...
1)Are the "Jovians" actual leet players (real people like you and I) 2)Did this conflict actually happen? 3)How can I decipher between storyline and actual occurences in the future?

I'm pretty new myself, but from my understanding, when the EVE wormhole collapsed and the new Dark Age began, the Joves were one of the few races that managed to thrive. They were bent on genetic engineering for perfection, and by the time the other races managed to achieve space travel once again, their technology was already vastly superior than the other races.
However, there were complications over the millenias of genetic engineering, and they're having trouble reproducing (which is the big reason why they haven't taken over the galaxy already), and many of the technology the people of EVE are using today are actually hand-me-downs from Jove. (IIRC, during the Gallente/Caldari Civil War, the Jove gave the Caldari Pod Tech, which led the Caldari to modify all their Fighters to Frigates).

Ok for the record most are just stories, content for backround. There have been a few times where the Devs have actually been in Jove ships in Empire and interacted with players.. There was also a bug if you want too call it, that you could set your clone to wake in Jove space. You just kill your pod and wake up there. But there were no ships nor market there, so nothing to do.

They were written by devs and players. Also when devs post in forums they have Jovian avatars. They're meant to be this mysterious race maniputating the game world behind the scenes. Yeah, there a metaphor for the devs, but I see them like "Q" from Star Trek popping up acting like he knows everything, but isn't telling you. "Big guns and heavy armor what else is there?"
