Can some one please help me. what would be the end resistance for each of these. base resistance = em 70%, kinetic 25%, thermal 35%
If i put on 1x em hardener, 2x kinetic hardener, 1x Thermal hardener. All t1 so 50%.
With no other skills taken into account can some one please help work this out.
My maths aint that hot

I dont know how to calculate it, but why dont you just join the game and check it out?

EM = 70% resisted, 30% vulnerable. 50% off the vulnerability from the hardener = 15%. 85% EM resistance.
Kin = 25% resisted, 75% vulnerable. 50% off the vulnerability from one hardener = 35%. 25+35 = 60% kinetic resistance, 40% vulnerabiliy. 50% off the second hardener = 20%. 25+35+20 = 80% kinetic resistance
Ther = 35% resisted, 65% vulnerable. 50% off the vulnerability from one hardener = 32.5%. 67.5% Thermal resistance.
See how that works? You take away from the vulernability amount with the 50%, not add onto the base. Take the amount removed from the vulnerability, add it to the base, and you have your remainder.
I think stacking penalty applies, so that's going to be rough, but close, math on the kinetic hardeners. At work. --------------

your kinetic is off. 75 * .5 = 37.5, not 35
Kinetic resist should come to 81.25

Edited by: Malka Badi''a on 14/03/2006 21:42:24 Ack, bad math on my part. Good catch. Slip of the calc.exe finger. Updated the kinetic math. Keep in mind I didn't add the stacking penalty of the second hardener, but it won't be that large of a difference. --------------

Originally by: Malka Badi'a Kin = 25% resisted, 75% vulnerable. 50% off the vulnerability from one hardener = 37.5%. 25+37.5 = % kinetic resistance, 37.5% vulnerabiliy. 50% off the second hardener = 18.75%. 25+37.5+18.75 = 81.25 kinetic resistance
Stacking penalty on the second hardener... Am I forced to have any regret? I've become the lie, beautiful and free In my righteous own mind I adore and preach the insanity you gave to me |

Read the rest of my post, read my last post, and then see that this was already brought up and that the stacking penalty of the second one is not enough of a concern for me to run that math at work.
Next time, read before commenting. --------------
