Thank you for the bids everyone.
I would really have liked that new ''themed'' production corporations would have formed up too. Like one specialised in shields, propulsion or electronic warfare.

Well if I can ever find the time and a good contact for minerals, I am looking to start up a production corp for modules more than ships; if ships prove the better, then I'll sell those
And I'll be damned if someone didn't out bid my other Character

Thanks to everyone that participated in this auction.
We can say the shares are believed to be worth 2m. each in small quantities.
Mails will be sent to the winners.

I suppose, but if you offer start to sell more and more of them, the price is likely to go down significantly.

Big congrats to O'Mara, its amazing how much faith the market puts in you.
Congrats also to the existing shareholders, 28% capital increase with only a 3% share ownership increase, putting the capital in each public share at a shade under 300k.
To the people who bought shares here... WTF??

It was a miniscule investment, when you look at the sums of money I deal with. And I happen to like the company and people. If it goes under and produces no returns, so what? I lose more cash when my megathron dies.

Yes, the amounts are tiny, but people are literally paying over 2m for less than 300k capital in the company, i dont think scale matters. im happy for O'Mara and the existing investors, I just dont understand these prices.

I understand your confusion Mia. When I evaluate potential long-term (share) investments I initially weigh them as being worth their projected dividend return for a maximum of say 12-18 months.
Why? Because that's how it works in the real world? No, because that's the general region of returns you can expect from a T2 BPO and they are the game's gold standard on long-term investments.
IMO, the share prices seen in this auction do not give us a true impression of the shares' value (as distinct from "worth").
Instead, we are seeing the effect produced by a burgeoning community of small investors who earnestly desire to hold a stake in something long-term and worthwhile. Such opportunities are few and far between, and present game mechanics do little to encourage them, so they come at an inflated premium.
